My first project turned out! It's far from perfect (you can't see the falling off button on the back) but it's a pillow!

And now I am completely addicted to my sewing machine and am going to start my next pillow in about four minutes.

(This one was based on this Design*Sponge tutorial only instead of a pouf, I made a small pillow.)

I have a new sewing machine that has barely seen a crack of light. This totally gave me a swift kick to get started on learning to sew.

I’ve been looking at getting a sewing machine. I bought a book with cool sewing projects (all baby-related items). I just have no clue what sewing machine to get. I’ve never sewn anything in my life. Do you have any suggestions?

What size did you scale the pattern down to?
I’m looking to make a variety of sizes but I’d like to make some for throw pillows for my bed and that looks to be the right size.

I printed out the template and then made it about a 2 inches longer. I ended up needing only 10 triangles, not 12 like the tutorial used. have fun!

Hey, nice job! For just stepping into sewing, I’m impressed that you’re already customizing stuff to fit your needs/desires. But then again, that’s something you have a lot of experience in! (and that’s a great thing)
