We planted a little window sill garden of mint, basil and rosemary. Ideally, this means we'll get to use fresh ingredients for our mojitos, salads and whatever it is you use rosemary in. This also means I get to cross off number five on my list.

I LOVE those pots for Ikea – but they don’t have any drainage holes. . .I considered filling the bottom 1/3 with stones. . .I’m NOT an avid gardener =)

Very cute container herb garden – I just planted one myself outside this year. Doesn’t it feel good to grow stuff?
Also, rosemary is delicious with pork and beef and you can also use it to make savory bread! Keep in mind the plant will get very big – we have one in our yard that is about 4′ by 4′ and over 3′ tall!

Lamb & rosemary are a match made in heaven – roasted leg of lamb seasoned with rosemary and sea salt or fresh asparagus, rosemary and anchovies wrapped in bacon, splashed with lemon juice and baked in an oven (thanks Jamie Oliver).

Basil is great in spaghetti sauce as well as making pesto (very easy in the food processor)…email me if you need a recipe! I love fresh herbs! Congrats on your wedding, your blog is awesome, one of my faves right now!

Take the leaves off of a rosemary branch and turn it into a “skewer” and add shrimp and a little EVOO. Grill. Eat. Wonderful! Also Pesto freezes very well in ice cube trays. Then you can dump into a zip lock bag

You can find recipes online so I will spare you but I will say that basil does NOT like to be over-watered. My husband killed 4 plants before I forced him to read the care instructions. 🙂 And yes, I concur with Rachel, rosemary will get BIG… which is perfect for me since I looooove it. 🙂

Try cubing potatoes and coating them with a mixture of EVOO and dijon mustard.
Add fresh rosemary and roast them in the oven. You will never eat roasted potatoes again without rosemary!

Rosemary and honey with a bit of olive oil & garlic is awesome baked or barbecued with chicken. I love the look of the little pots along your window sill. I have big pots on my deck and we had snow this weekend (boohoo)… I just took them out from under their big blue tarp. I think I will follow your lead and plant some inside too!
