Newhome
Kitchen
Paul called me yesterday afternoon for no other reason then to say he's excited to have our own place and start cooking again. Me too, babe. We have been out of our own kitchen and away from our stuff for seven weeks and it's going to be so nice to be settled to start making our favorites and searching for new recipes again.

Paul is the chef in our house. Over the past three years, he has taught me how to cook but more importantly, made preparing meals something I really look forward to doing together. It's our unwind and catch up time. It's when we open a bottle of wine and start our evenings together.

Just typing about it makes me happy.

Above are some of the fun new things we'll be using when we get to San Diego. I've said it before and I will say it again… our wedding guests were oh, so generous.

I have the SAME orange dutch oven. I use it for everything! Much more often than I was expecting. It’s great! Make sure you take the sticker off the bottom before using. Mine has a nice burnt spot from my oops. Hehehe. Enjoy!

So…does this mean you found a place in SD?? 🙂 Can’t wait for a pizza peel…we splurged and got the pizza stone for xmas last year and somehow I feel it is incomplete without the peel!

Lovely stuff – I have a knock off version of that le creuset dutch oven (Ikea!) and I cannot believe how often I use it.
P.S. What the heck is a pizza peel?!?!

lol, you build the pizza on the peel while the oven is heating the pizza stone. Then you slide/shake the pizza off the peel onto the hot stone. It gives it a crispy, professional crust. Super rad. 🙂

looks like fun!! my daughter gave me the W-S glass bowls for christmas (encouraging a bread-baking wish I need to pursue) and I wanted to pass along our tip for the two tiniest bowls (they really are too small for anything else!) – we keep them on a cute plate on the stove – the larger one holds coarse salt and the smallest one holds coarsely ground pepper – and it’s perfect for seasoning while you’re cooking. and I think it looks good too! …looking forward (like I know YOU are!) to seeing everything in its new home!
