So soon we'll be unloading boxes and boxes into our new apartment. I cannot wait to get everything sorted and stored. This move is so different then when I went to Maryland in August 2007 live with Paul. This move is us together. Our stuff. Our taste. Our plan.

I have been collecting little things over the past few months and of course we received some wonderful gifts for the wedding. We have a few large purchases to make : a new dresser (we're venturing into shared dresser territory but keeping separate closets), new mattresses and a possible new bed frame. We are keeping our already perfect couch and dining table set – but I am going to recover the chair cushions with thick fabric. I'm hoping to find something like this.

    We moved in to our house 3 years ago…. i was all about green. Now im all about yellow and grey. Love the stuff you picked out. Im sure in three years ill be all about BLURPLE. hahah! I just wish i could paint it yellow but i really dont want too because of the high ceilings. i want that rug and the chair

    I hope you got the KitchenAid for a wedding gift! My parents gave me a deep purple one a couple of years ago for Christmas and I love, love, love it. Since we have the counter space and the color of the mixer is so pretty, I just leave it out on the counter. I find that I use it more when I’m looking at it every day:)

    I have that dresser in black and LOVE it! My boyfriend and I are getting ready to move in together for the first time and we’re doing the separate dresser, separate closet thing to start with…baby steps 🙂 In case you need more space, there is a taller dresser that’s part of the “set”.

    Cute stuff. I have a KitchenAid in Pistachio and cannot beleive how much I use it (and how pretty it makes my kitchen look!). Is that a slipper chair from Target? If so, they are actually really comfy for an armless chair – we’re getting one for our guest room.

    Three words – Heavenly Bed Mattress! It is the best purchase we have made. LOOOVE IT! And as a new mom, I say go for a king. It is a big splurge, but way worth it. We bought a queen and I wish we had a king.

    Ohhhh I love that fabric! I’ve been looking for great yellow fabric forever to recover a chair in my living room and haven’t had any luck so far. Everything I find is like that one OUT OF STOCK 😦 If you find something wonderful I’d love to be pointed in the right direction! Our bedroom is grey and yellow and living room is shaping up to be yellow, teal, orange! I just painted an entire wall TEAL and it makes me so happy! Ok that was too long for a tiny comment about the woes of searching for yellow fabric. LOL Have fun creating your nest!
