I made it out of the house yesterday to stock up on groceries, mail some packages and buy adhesive. I wish I could say "Whew, made it through, we're done." But nope. We are supposed to be hit with another 16-20" of snow tonight and tomorrow. Which means I may never get out of this state again.

Last night I made the mistake of getting my weather report from the local news instead of weather.com. Why does it always have to be fire and brimstone? All they would talk about in the special "Storm Watch 2010" section was apartment fires (they did not mention microwave popcorn as a potential danger) and signs that your roof is going to collapse under the weight of the snowfall. Seriously?

I'm going back out early this morning to restock up on craft supplies. It looks like a long couple days ahead while I hide out and evaluate if my roof plans to cave in. Good times.

Bahah good luck with that roof – we’ve gotten hit with both storms (well, are currently getting hit now) but not nearly as bad as you!

Snow is such a beautiful sight of nature, but I cannot even fathom THAT much snow. Stock up on craft supplies, tea and make the most of home days. Keep warm and crafty.

This cracks me up because now that I live in Chicago – we hardly have any snow! What the heck? They said we’d get up to 14 inches today…um, right now we’ve got like 2? Seriously weird. We got about 2 feet ONCE when I lived back east as a kid. I thought it was cool. Somehow, I suspect my mom and dad were less than thrilled.

I can only imagine that the local news is similar to how it is here in Florida when we have a hurricane. The world is falling apart and OMG a palm tree is blowing in the wind!!
    Enjoy the knitting!
