I just updated the shop with new home mini book kits, poppy gocco prints & US postcards. I will be sharing what I made with the home book kit on Monday – I’m excited about this one.

And in the meantime, leave a comment on this post to be entered to win a poppy print OR a set of “blank to the blank” cards. Share what type of book you would write if you had the chance.

I’ll draw two random winners Monday. And don’t forget to visit the shop.

Hmm, if I could write any book I think it would probably be an adventure novel geared at young adults – somthing with the flavor of Daniel Pinkwater’s books since those were my favorites growing up.

Lovely stuff Elise! If I could write a book, it would be a coffee table book about the history of a certain stretch of road that runs along a beautiful river near my home. I would also do the photography for it, since it would be light on writing, being a coffee table book 🙂

If I could write a book, it would be a David Sedaris-esque book with short stories about my psychotic roommates.
Or, a cookbook. But I’d first need to know how to develop recipes :]

I would definitely write a book about my teaching experiences… things I’ve learned from my students over the years, collections of letters and notes I’ve received that are in my “Bad Day” file, and funny stories that they’ve shared with me.

love all the creative ideas! if i were to write a book, i would write one about my family (and it’s on my eternal ‘to-do’ list). i feel like there are so many great stories in the history of my family that get lost each generation, and i want to start documenting those!

First I was going to say I’d write a romance ’cause that’s the kind of book I love to read, but I think really, the first book I’d write would be my college memoirs. I went away to college at 16-1/2, after my junior year in high school (I USED to be smart!) and my parents were so very protective.
I can so remember the experience of college!
I’d love to put all those memories down so I don’t ever forget them!

It would be a story of all the up & downs of my life in Wilmington. I have had my share of both but living in that neighborhood, there has definitely been more downs then ups. Alot movies depict Compton,Watts and East LA as rough neighborhoods but there are alot of other places dealing with gangs, drugs and shootings. And I think I’d like to share my view as mother raising children in all of that chaos.

i would totally write a book based on ‘the photo box’. the photos and stories that live inside a cardboard box full of photos that was passed down to me from my grandparents’ home. i started a blog last year where i could share the photos with my family and friends [ the photo box: http://insidethephotobox.blogspot.com/ ] and i would love to turn it into a coffee table book.
everyone’s memories are precious and i would hate to lose mine.

Hi Elise, love the stuff you’re doing, and wishing you well for your wedding and move to the west coast this year!
I think I would write a book, aimed at women, opening up the pleasures and distractions of the Web and blogging. There’s so much to learn out there. I would incorporate photography and Photoshop into the package. I would split the book into two distinct sections. The first would deal with the technical and marketing issues of setting up a blog. The second would deal with the design and creative side.
Actually, I need a book right now to teach me these things. I seem to spend a lot of time learning as I go…!

Since I do a lot of mini-albums for friends and family, I guess I have (sort of) already written a book. A children’s book would be fun, but I am way too practical and not light-hearted enough to pull that one off. Love to read them to the kids with voices and be silly, but don’t think I could write one even though I’d like to. I get requests (okay only from family and friends, and 2 strangers) for my photographs, so that would really be my dream.

Having been a grade 2 teacher for many years, I saw a gap in reading material for young students (7-9) who are reading well already. The trick is in finding reading material that will challenge the reading level of the child, but without being too mature in subject matter. Currently, the books that are available to challenge a high reading level are covering mature content that 7-9 yr olds don’t need to be exposed to yet. I am actually in the process of writing such a book!
