Bedroom

I found this image on this blog the other day and immediately emailed a link to Paul. This is the inspiration I have been looking for for our new San Diego home. Teal, orange and yellow. Photos and artwork above the bed. White and tan. I adore. Today we were about to buy some new sheets and I had to pull up the photo to see if they matched our new vision. They didn't, so even though the sale price was fabulous, we let them go. I am commited to sticking to a decorating plan this time around. Only things we love and cannot live without.

That’s a lovely color combination. The orange gives it an extra bit of snap. Love it!

Fun design and colors, and such fun to look forward to decorating. So simple and clean, with a splash of color.

If you’re interested in the duvet and sheets, I believe they are Restoration Hardware…we have the same duvet on our bed for winter, coordinated with their eucalyptis and chocolate brown (sp) Italian Silk cover and shams. They have a white sale coming up soon, I think. We are addicted to their stuff!

I love that room too. The bed pillows remind me of this set I’ve been eyeing: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/new-bedding-new-bath/bed-and-bath/1

Hey Elise – ooo, that’s lovely. I esp like the pale colors contrasted with the bright yellow and orange. Good luck!
Another random question: would you be willing to post some pages from your fall 2009 mini album? I remember seeing the cover and fell in love with the look. I’d love to see more 🙂

Do people hang things over their beds in CA? Aren’t they afraid of earthquakes? I’m originally a NYer, new to CA.
    I love the color combos!

very interesting. I lived in CA for 14 years before moving to MD and never thought about that. I always had stuff hanging over my bed, so nope, I guess were, or at least Im, not afraid.

That’s very similar to my master bedroom! Only color missing is the yellow, but I just bought some Anne Marie Horner fabric that’s yellow to sew a throw pillow. We don’t have the same headboard and bedskirt either. I found some really great orange and white pillow cases at pottery barn online clearance. I found our duvet cover on clearance there too about a year or two ago. And our wall color is more of a light blue I saw in a Cottage Living magazine shoot. Anyway, I’ve been uncertain of the orange, but it really does make the room feel happy and bright…especially in rainy Seattle.
