I spent the weekend trimming and punching
and printing and gluing. I am working on getting some custom books out the door and some holiday mixed books prepped for the shop. And I have a question for you, Blogland : how important is it that a holiday mixed paper book has 25 pages (for the 25 of December leading up until Christmas)? Would you prefer 25? Or just a healthy assortment of mixed papers for journaling and adding photos?

Stay tuned later today for a fun giveaway. Enjoy this last week of October.

My gut says to tell you 25 pages, but since for 2 years I’ve tried to do a 25 days ’til Xmas project and failed abysmally (boy, does that word just look WRONG!), I say go with a healthy assortment of mixed papers… And make sure I have a chance to buy one!!! I’m going to be away for three days starting tomorrow and I’d hate to miss out on a Christmas book!!!

I’d like 25 days. I did my first month-long in August and enjoyed knowing I had to do a page a day. Countdown to Christmas just seems like it should be 25 pages.

For me the whole month, we always have events after Christmas leading to New Years. The kids are off school and we do tubbing, skiing, baking, movies, games and crafts, Oh and pot banging on NYE.

I’ve bought your mixed paper books before and I really love them. Personally, I would like enough pages for the entire month of December to include New Years stuff. And then the people that don’t want that many pages can always take out whatever they don’t want to use.

25 pages is good. I can always add, but it’s nice to start out with eenough for a daily if I need it. And the little preview in the post definitely makes me think I will. Nice job! ; )

I love the colors you have chosen – my choice would be at least 25 pages….possibly more to give more room for lists and additional “holiday” items…

Oh geez … guess I’m the “odd man” out! I’m more interested in a healthy selection of interesting papers than the requisite 25 pages. I’m single, working woman and opposed to capture something everyday I’d rather capture the essence. Thanks!

I would like both, please! LOL … I tried Ali Edwards Decemeber Daily (25 days to Christmas) last year, didn’t make it. I would LOVE for you to do the pages for me … that would be SWEET!

I do the whole month, so 31 is my vote. For those that like 25, they could also use the extra pages for a day when they have a lot to say or for extra photos. It’s always good to get more than you need.

I guess I’m out of the loop on this one, but I was going to tell you 12, for the 12 days of Christmas. I thought that would be a cute theme. But I guess the majority speaks!

I like the idea of the whole month also, but many people might be doing 25 for Ali’s challenge. I think including the week after Christmas to New Year’s is important since that is when I see my family the most.

I’ve kind of found that 25 pages tends to be too much for me. Some of my days leading up to Christmas end up being just 4×6 photos glued back to back, and I like to stick in cards that I receive, and tags, and general whatnot, so having 25 pages there already makes for too much bulk.
Just my 2 cents worth! 🙂

25 would be too much for me too, I guess! Btw, I love the colours you picked.

I would vote for either a healthy random assortment, or specifically 31 pages (over 25) – one for each day of the month… lots of people don’t celebrate Christmas but still might appreciate a “holiday” themed book … and some people who do celebrate Christmas still have lots of things going on after the 25th (like my crazy family 🙂

I would say just an assortment, but this is coming from someone that tried to do the 25 day thing and it just didn’t work for me. 🙂

I’m a whole month person, even though I’d be lucky to get through it.
I like the idea though, and would love to actually get one finished one day!

25 is great because loads of people are doing Ali Edward’s December Daily album (which is 25 pages).

I don’t think 25 pages would be terribly important – I’d be more likely to record things in categories: cookies baked, presents made, etc.

I am trying to talk myself into doing a December mini, but I am almost intimidated by 25 days — yet I would want 25 pages for 25 days so it would feel “complete.”

the books look GREAT! I don’t comment often (and apparently I’m going to be in the minority here anyway 🙂 I think the “healthy assortment of good stuff” is perfect. there will be days I’ll have other things to incorporate (last year, the origins mailer was a perfect for a background) and days I’ll have more/less to add, or simply a printed photo… exactly 25 pages (or 31) wouldn’t matter one bit.

p.s. I DO love having a unifying theme to number my days. any chance you might be thinking of numbers 1-31 to supplement the books?
