enJOY it

IMG_2608 Yesterday got stranger and stranger. My tiredness turned into dizziness which resulted in an email to Paul listing my symptoms. He was at the hospital but made time to call and check in. "How's your pulse?" he asked. "Uhhh, there?" Quite obviously, he was relieved.

Lots of water and bad television and I started to feel better again. Whew.

AND THEN my day went from blah to best when I got an email that the Paper Source I work at is selling their (used) Gocco Machines. If you don't know what Gocco is, read here. To see what Gocco can do, look here. Gocco machines are usually about $400 (Georgetown is selling them for $100 if there are any left) but are no longer being produced so they, like dinosaurs, are impossible to find. I had to scoop one up. Especially because I am backing away from letterpress until I can find my own press. So that victory made me dizzy but it a much more excited and frantic way.

And yep, my ampersand cards arrived. I will be quite surprised if any last long enough to use for the wedding. I like this little size for writing notes like "Babe! Not dizzy NEmore! Also, buy milk!"

SO TODAY, I am not tired, NOR dizzy. I will not turn on the television. I will use up the remaining five hours I have on Pandora this month. I will make some finishing touches on the first week of the workshop (starts Monday!). I will finish up some pieces for the update next week. I will be productive and enjoy this day.

So glad you find a gocco! I actually have one I’m trying to sell if anyone is looking for one! It’s a PG-5 with bulbs, screens, and a variety of ink. Never been used. isonwedding (at) gmail (dot) com

Oh, lucky you to get one of those gocco machines. If I had been able to find one, I would definitely have bought one ages ago, too. Alas, I’m rather far from the Georgetown Paper Source anyhow. My husband, however, is thankful that we do not have a gocco to add to our clutter.

Hurray, so glad you were able to score a gocco! That is wonderful! They are such a rare item, but so awesome.
I just acquired a c&p pilot press – boy was it an adventure. You will find one when the time is right 🙂 we can be press friends.

Oh, you’ll have fun with the gocco. Thanks for the reminder: How shameful! Mine’s been shoved away in the back of the draw for ages…
Glad you are feeling better too 🙂 Love the ampersand cards. I keep finding myself buying ‘&’ things lately too!

have you heard of this new letterpress product? http://www.lifestylecraft.com/ it’s a much cheaper alternative to buying a letterpress and they are supposed to be doing custom plates in the future, so you can letterpress your own designs. I just heard about it, but thought it might be something you were interested in.

Stephanie, thanks for that link! My gocco has been sitting in its box unused for over a year now. 😦 My wedding is in 6 weeks. Think I’ll use it afterwards?
