Wedwed

IMG_2541 IMG_2542 I still have a dream of using good vintage looking Bora Bora postcards for our wedding thank you notes. But in the meantime, I made up some folded notes with WHAT ELSE? "e&p" printed on them. Fun Fact : after the wedding we are BOTH changing our names to "e&p". Not really, but you would think so. We have been debating the pros and cons of naming our children "Orange" & "Gray" though.

IMG_2551IMG_2555 My guest book plan came together last week. (Have I mentioned that if we have a third child he will be named "Photo Mosaic"?) Except that when I bought the materials I got white pages instead of cream. Oh, the horror. So I will be changing those, but you get the general idea. There will still be little gray envelopes. And like a crazy person, I ordered little business cards with an orange ampersand on them. I figured they would be cute in the envelopes and could also make fun seating cards.

I bought a domain name and have the basic framework built for our wedding website but am drawing a blank on all the necessary text. I have to get it together because all 107 save the dates have the wedding website printed on them. I suppose I could just put up a page that says "PSYCH!" but that would be awkward.

Still excited to marry Paul. You could even say I love him more and more each day. Awww.

Happy Wednesday.

    My name is/was Gray. Caroline Gray for my great-grandfather Gray Merritt. When I was a little girl, gray was my favorite color for my name and the color of my daddy’s hair. I still love gray, but my dad’s hair is white now.

    I think a little boy named Gray would be awesome. People name their kids Grayson, so why not?

    Stuff on our wedding website:
    * About us (hey, not everyone knows the person you’re marrying. Extended family. Your parent’s friends. Etc. And vice versa)
    * About our engagement
    * Wedding details (date, time, location)
    * The wedding party
    * Honeymoon info
    * Registry info
    * Directions/Maps
    * Contact us (phone numbers, email addresses, etc. Or someone else for guests to contact if they have questions)
    * Accommodations (where are your out of town guests staying? Suggestions? Did you book a block at a hotel?)
    Post-wedding, I put up 2 more pages
    * Photos (we asked people to share them with us using Picasa. Left the username and instructions on how to do it. Same thing plus the password was in gift bags at the reception)
    * Playlist (we had our guests suggest a song on our RSVP card).
    Shoot me an email if you want the URL, I don’t mind sharing, but I don’t wanna put it out there in space either 😉

    haha i love it! Its so nice to see you enjoying this process so much. I get sad for brides that get so stressed that they lose sight of the joy. Also, I love that you’re using your engagement pictures – often people seem to get super nice engagement pictures and then maybe use one for the invite – craziness!!

    I love that book! Tell me, is there a large size? I see small, medium and extra large. I was looking on etsy for someone to make a book like this for me, but I’d so rather do it myself.
    Everything you’ve done so far is awesome. I wish you were engaged a year ago so I could have copied you the whole way through. 🙂 I fear you’ll post something awesome in 6 months when my wedding is long since over, and I will wish I’d dome it, too.
    And if I ever have a child, it will be named Grey. Especially if it’s a girl. I decided this when I was in middle school. And 15+ years later, it’s still my choice.
