One of my goals for this year is to expand the frame wall over our living room couch. Why is this such a hard task? I HAVE NO IDEA. But it is taking forever and then some. I am quite concerned we will be moving out of this apartment (March 2010) before I am happy with it. (Which, truth be told, I am excited about. I cannot wait to start over and redecorate a new place. Ideally a new house/apartment back in California.)

This week I added a gallery wrapped canvas from ColorInc. I love it. The photo is an older one that I took of our coffees when we were out to breakfast one morning. It's represents us without our faces and was an instant fave. The folks at ColorInc. did an amazing job keeping the colors of the photo bright and true. AND one more plug : if you are looking for printing services (or you are a photographer who needs printing services) you get 50% off your first order and 20% off all orders after that. Steal of a deal.

I can't wait until the day when I have a whole wall covered with mis-matched frames and art. I also can't wait until I can add e+p wedding photos into the mix.

Oooo, lovely…I need to add artwork to our walls something awful…I have a wall above where the couch is in the living room right now that is empty and deserate for some adornment…I guess I’m just nervous that we’ll re-arrange furniture and it will look out of place. But what’s the worst that could happen…we have to move some artwork?! Yeah.

At our last place we had a fun random wall of photos and art (but it was truly random – could’ve been better). Here, we were told to not put anything on the walls, so it’s taken a while to get anything up! But, I really like the gallery-wrapped canvas idea… And I just got this one for somewhere:

Getting all the right pieces together always proves to be more difficult to accomplish than to think about, I’ve found. But what you have looks really great.
Re-decorating is always fun, if I could, I’d move every 6 months to a new place just to decorate it. Except that the actual act of moving is lame. Best of luck to you, however! haha

I can’t stop staring at the wrapped canvas. I love it! I’ve always had a special place in my heart for mis-matched frame displays and an even special-er place for photos and art. This one hits the spot for both. Nice work!
Now I’m thinking, “ok, which photo and I going to use for a wrapped canvas?” haha
    Thanks for the great idea!

My hubs hates putting holes in our walls, and we own our home (well Citimortgage does)! So I’ve fallen into that trap.
Also, plug for Colorinc. After I signed up they sent me a real handwritten postcard on a sample of their paper.how cool is that!

I am currently working on one of these walls as well. Although its more “family” than just the two of us but I love it already.
