enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

IMG_0655 I visited one more Anthropologie yesterday and TA-DA! they had catalogs. (They also had a pair of cute shoes on sale, so both the store and I came away victorious.) If you offered to send me yours – THANK YOU – but I am all set now.

I am a little slow to get moving this morning – we have yet another day of completely gray skies and rain upon us. I know it seems like I spend a lot of time complaining about the weather. I apologize. The weather effects my mood so drastically that I feel like I should see a doctor. Though Paul would say, "I know, babe. But you're fine."

But regardless, I am just going to turn on extra lights in the house so at least it feels like day time and GET THROUGH IT. I have a list of fun things to do and come rain, sleet or, heaven forbid, snow, I will get them done.

Happy, happy Friday.

Oh, oh, oh! Now that I see the catalog, I can compare it to your Photoshop art from yesterday and I can say you did a GREAT job with it. I am loving it!

Great job on the new banner, love it!
You should buy a full-spectrum lamp! Search for full-spectrum or SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) lights. A lot of people in Oregon swear by them during the rainy months (which is most of the year, ha ha). I could always tell when my boss used hers, she just turned it on while she worked at the computer but it really improved her mood! 🙂
(p.s. They’re not tanning lamps, LOL)

When I received this latest Anthropologie catalog in the mail, I thought it was their best one yet. It was so cool and vintage and I love cover. Love your new blog banner that’s been inspired by it! Nice job 🙂 (Loving the Get Crafty class, btw!)

    Love the new banner!
The weather really affects my mood, too. But I live in Colorado and I know the East Coast usually gets our weather in a few days… and it was sunny yesterday and today! So I think sunshine may finally be on its way to you. Crossing my fingers.

I completely agree about the catalog (and the weather)! When I received my copy in the mail, I instantly knew that it was a keeper and featured a lot of images for my work. I usually tear out the pages that I like and recycle the rest, but this issue was amazing!
Thanks for your comment about the holy moments! I am glad that it was coherent.

I received my anthro catalog two days ago and new immediately what you were doing when I saw your post yesterday. Nice work! The weather totally effects my mood as well. I’m in the usually very sunny state of CO but we’ve had clouds and rain for over a week and I’m totally feeling it too. Just a day or two of clouds (because I’m so not used to ti) and I feel crabbier and less inspired. Definitely turn on the lights and turn up the happy music!

How funny! My mood is up and down depending on what time of the month it is! 🙂 I think I need medicine!! Seriously! My husband would probably agree! I have never left a comment before (don’t know why) but I just wanted to say that I love your blog! I found it, several months ago, through a friend and have kept up with it ever since! A late Congratulations on your engagement! I love your colors. I am so into orange right now! Orange and Gray!!

I’m so excited, I was in Nashville this weekend and got to go into Hatch Show Print from the Anthro catalog! You would have died… so much good letterpress stuff. The girls in there were super sweet, too!
