If my math is correct, there are 49 Wednesdays between today and the Big Day. I figured instead of ignoring the wedding planning OR obsessing over the wedding planning, I could just post a weekly wrap up when there is stuff to say. When there isn't, you'll get Regular Wednesday.
For being 49 weeks out, we are looking pretty good.
We have : a church (top left), a flower plan, a bridesmaid dress color (the one shown is from j.crew), a save the date prototype (the gray circle rectangle shown above is the backing for a letterpress save the date. Paper is kind of a big deal to me.), a ribbon to wrap around the bouquets (well, we don't actually have said ribbon, but thanks to the friendly customer service people at May Arts, I know where to purchase said ribbon), a wedding dress (yes, secret's out. I am wearing this from j.crew. It was Paul's favorite from the site and it looks great on: winner.), a reception venue (Citizen Hotel), and a possible earring option.
Not pictured, but we also have a DJ. And a photographer.
My photographer is a cool girl from Sacramento that I found via a google search. She had the best website. Never under estimate the power of a good website. We chatted and I know we will be a good match. Included in her wedding photo package is an engagement session. I am so excited. I have wanted to do an engagement session since all the hype about Max Wanger. I think I will wear this dress (for the engagement pictures.) I know it is a little formal, but the very best part about planning a wedding is you get to do whatever you like. And I'll wear flat shoes to calm it down. And we are going to use a bottle of wine and a few wine glasses as our props. I think props can make or break an engagement shoot.
Lisa, I can't wait.
Let's see…what else? I have decided to ex-nay the grand embroider-the-table-number plan. (Kal, I can hear your sigh of relief.) Bummer, I know, but after I saw our amazing reception venue I knew cross-stitched table numbers were not going to fit in. And so, we'll come up with a new plan. And the 4, 7 and 5 that I already stitched can be framed and will become a great conversation starter in our brand new living room. (I felt like Bob Barker just then.)
Since all this is getting signed, sealed and delivered, I have decided to move up the wedding date. Just kidding. It is going to take me the next eleven months to come up with a plan for fabulous wedding hair. And you should hear Paul stress about what sort of shoes to wear.
