Last month, I switched to Google Reader to keep track of all the blogs I read. I used to be addicted to Bloglines, but was tired of feeds either not updating at all or re-updating (and re-updating) with the same material. I am thrilled with the format of Google Reader and love that they have a "Top Recommendations" column of blogs you might be interested in – I am finding lots of new reads.

I also love that you can "star" blog posts that appeal to you. I use this feature in gmail all the time, and it is creating quite the inspiration folder for me in reader.

Here are a few of my recent starred posts:

Handle + Sprout on Oh Happy Day

Patterned masking tape available again via Creature Comforts

Marta's new writing club

Pearl by Milkmaid Press on Snippet & Ink

Elizabeth Gilbert talks about Creativity on Caroline's blog

Oh, Internet. I love you.

i had looked at bloglines before but never really picked up on it – i generally just read new blog posts through blogger’s ‘followers’ widget.
if google’s better than the followers thing, then consider me sold. i’ma go check it out.

yeah, guess i dropped the ball on that tape thing. i second the question of: ARE YOU GOING TO ORDER SOME TAPE NOW?! … though i personally am bummed about the lack of neutral shades in their offering. i need muted colors, darn it.

I’ve been using Google Reader since I realized there were actually programs out there that would help me keep up with blogs. (And I teach technology?! Yeesh.) 🙂 It hasn’t angered me yet (my litmus test for technology).

All things google is the way to go…unless you are on typepad. 😉 I used to Star everything in g reader, until I started tagging stuff. I actually referred to your blog in this post talking about it. 🙂
