I was tagged a while back for seven random facts. It took a Super Bowl half time and some wine to prepare this post.
1. My family had a van with a CD player before we had one in our house. I remember sitting out in the garage listening to Brandy and the Beach Boys in the car. Yes, I had a Beach Boys CD. I also had a Billboard hits of 1950-1959. I had no good sense for music so I just adopted my dad's taste. Good times.
2. Facebook only advertises Barack Obama and engagement rings at me. The Obama ones I understand – my profile says liberal. But have they noticed I have been in a relationship for 2.5 years and think I need to get myself a ring? Because seriously? Facebook? I KNOW. 🙂
3. I have to turn off the heater in my car to parallel park. I always get nervous and start to sweat. The heater just makes it worse.
4. Dancing around the apartment to a fantastic song is one of my most favorite things to do.
5. Paul and I are not engaged and I have already designed our save the dates. I told him my idea last night – he approves.
6. I used to get really embarrassed when I didn't know a certain band that people were talking about, so I would just pretend I did. Now I just say "WHO?" It's awkward for about two seconds as opposed to the horrible six minutes when someone inevitably said "Oh yeah? What's your favorite song by them?" and I was forced to answer, "you know…that one."
7. When people wave their cell phones at concerts I am simultaneously embarrassed by my generation for being lame and also proud that so many of us don't smoke.
