I received a pretty fantastic gift on Saturday: a five year diary. 365 pages and each is dedicated to one day of the year. Each day is divided into 5 sections which for me will represent 2009-2013. I am in love with this idea. It is scrapbooking in its simplest form.

I am now quite motivated to do at least one interesting thing per day outside of work.

I have one of these as well, and started writing in it July last year. It’s amazing how much you forget about your day to day life – makes for great reading. I can’t wait to read it in twenty years time!

Oh that is too cool, I may have to get myself one of those – how neat would it be to compare the same day 5 yrs apart! Wow!!

I’ve been a lurker, but don’t think I’ve ever posted a comment. I had to share my story with the 5-year diaries. My husband’s grandmother kept these for years. She had a box of old 5-year diaries that no one knew about until she passed. It was so wonderful for us all to go back through and see her thoughts. It also helped us to see her change through the years, after his grandpa died, etc. It was also fun to see what she wrote on holidays and birthdays – because of course she always remembered.
What a wonderful thing to begin. =)

Sorry to post on such an old entry. Can I ask if you have been able to keep this up and if you still like the book? I’d like to invest in a book, but want to be sure about the construction of the book, the spacing of the lines, the weight of the paper, etc.
