We faced the cold to wander the capital mall this morning. I will be working for my PR job (I got permission to work from home – but I'll be busy none the less) on the day of the inauguration and so I figured heading in two days early to see the excitement and the preparations was the next best thing. The city is already starting to vibrate.

The Pepsi ads were scattered all over – and while I am a Diet Coke girl, I appreciate them greatly as an Obama fan.

    Elise,
I left a comment for you on Flickr, but can you score me some buttons? I’ll RAK you some cutesy V-Day cards if you can.

It would be exciting to be there to see this historic moment. But the crowds will be killer, as well as the traffic. I would love to be Oprah and have a great view and hotel room to come back to. Love your blog keep up the good work.

How exciting to be there for this historic time!!!
But I’ll be pretty happy to be watching it in the comfort of my 72 degree living room…

I am so jealous you get to be in DC this time in history! I am trying to figure out a way to work from home (and skip class!) on Tuesday!

Not even sure how I found your blog, but I have thoroughly enjoyed lurking here and checking out your cool projects.
As someone who wasn’t a fan of Obama, I wanted to let you know that from where I’m sitting, this is none the less an awesome moment for our nation. While I may not share his political views, I could not be more proud of what tomorrow represents for this country! I didn’t vote for him, but as a lover of this great country, I will give him my support and wish him and his beautiful family nothing but the best.
I hope that at least for tomorrow, there will be many proud Americans like myself who can put aside idealogical differences and bask in the sheer wonder of seeing our first African American president take the oath of office. It is a proud day for us indeed!

You are so lucky to be so close to this amazing moment in history. I am in New Zealand and will be glued to my TV set, that is until I have to go to work. I can’t believe how excited I am by the whole election. I think its just a moment I never thought that I would see in my lifetime. Enjoy the moment. If you have any of those buttons spare I’d love to do a swap.
