I spent four hours in letterpress land today. And the four hours flew by before I knew I was starving and needed some lunch. I got some custom orders done and a few other randoms.

Like the color print.

My first attempt at real life color/text alignment. FIVE COLORS. This is intense my non-letterpressing friends. Or maybe it is not if you are a letterpress pro, but I am not a letterpress pro. I am just a newbie at setting and printing (and I love to waste excessive amounts of ink getting JUST THE RIGHT COLOR).

I am working on putting together another HANDMADE art journal kit using the idea: she collected details. I love details. I also love paper. Did you know that?

Everything (kits and prints) will be up in the ye old etsy tomorrow a.k.a SATURDAY.

BTW, it is August. We are entering BACK TO SCHOOL mode. Today I wandered the Target BTS aisles with an overwhelming sense of nostalgia. Last year I was right in the middle of getting teeth into my mouth and moving to Maryland. I barely had time to think about college ruled notebooks. But today: I was sad to not be starting new at something.

To compensate for my newly accepted grown-up status…I bought some Crayola Markers.

Now I can see the end result of what you were working on! This is Amelia the newbie who was in the studio once again trying to learn how to letterpress. I have been spending the last half hour trying to explain to my husband why it took me over 2 hours to come home w/ prints of one word! LOL Like you I wandered into Target today and couldn’t resist the back to school aisle I left the markers but for some reason had to buy the spiral notebook packs at .50 for a 5 pack I couldn’t resist. Looking forward to seeing you at Pyramid Atlantic again. I love how it turned out! By the way did you letterpress “celebrate” as well?

hello from a lurker! The celebrate color cards are fab! I’m also loving the “details” card. Such a pretty shade of blue! I’m supposed to be observing a “no spending on nonessentials” month, but I might have to make an exception for these kits you speak of!

love the kits you made up! I love back to school shopping and any stationery shopping for that matter. my son graduated this year so it will be the first time that he does not need school supplies. I went and bought myself a new binder and some pens…
