First of all, I did not even know today was the first day of spring. Or else I might have bounded out of bed with a bit more enthusiasm. I might have did a little jig on the sidewalk. I might have done something crazy, like WORN A SWIMSUIT to work.
Second of all, it is cold in ye old state of Maryland/DC which is NOT OKAY.
One would think Grandfather Weather forgot to check his calendar as well.
EITHER WAY, Spring is here. And the best news is that everyday from now until oh, September it should be warm. And by September I will have come up with a plan for stopping the rotation of the earth therein making it FOREVER SUMMERTIME. Or something.
IN OTHER NEWS:
I spent Sunday through Tuesday in Sacramento, California with Ma and Pa Blaha. (I know, I am SO LUCKY my last name rhymes with "Ma and Pa". Other fun last name factoid: "Blaha" means Clownlike in Czech. Have I ever mentioned that before?) Sactown was wonderful. I do enjoy the parents. And I love wine tasting. And I love going on walks. And buying new children BlackBerries.
And I love that Sacramento was warm. And not like, "Oh fantastic! I stopped shivering" warm but, "WOW! So THIS is what it is like to wear shorts" warm.
It was glorious. And chock full of polaroid photo moments:
IT FELT LIKE SPRING THERE.
So COME ON East Coast. Join the springtime party!
(PS: Pictured above is my new bag from the earlier post. It’s Target season Spring 2008.)
