P: So recently, in class, I have been thinking about what we would do if we won the lottery.
E: Oh yeah? What would we do?
P: That’s the thing, it depends on how much money we win. Because sometimes you get screwed and you only get a million.
E: Okay. So let’s say $3 million. Because that is good, but not a ton.
P: Seriously? You don’t think $30 million is a ton?
E: No, I said $3 million. Because you probably still have to work if you win $3 million.
P: Oh. Okay.
E: See, I don’t know how that would change my life. Because I still will want to write a book. And having a lot of money won’t help me write a book.
P: Well, you could just make it yourself. You wouldn’t need a company to pick it up.
E: Yeah!
P: Oh, well, I guess you would need help with distribution. You can’t just call up Barnes and Noble and tell them you are going to ship them some.
E: No. But I could just walk in with a bunch under my shirt and just set them up on a little table.
P: Yeah…
E: So what would you do? Would you still be in school?
P: (Groans.) I don’t know. Because you can’t win the lottery and be in the military. I have no idea what would happen.
E: Well, I guess it is a good thing we don’t buy lottery tickets. We are clearly not prepared to win.

How weird just last night my husband showed me this piece of paper he had written up of what we would do with our lottery winnings.. mostly giving it away but the odd thing is we dont even play the lottery so I dont know how he expects to win!!
