enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

A while ago, Kal posted about a painting she had made. And when I saw it, I loved it. It was so good that I called Paul over to see it.

Because I agree with her: that often it is all about leaving your troubles and your drama at the door. And I love her representation of that.

Today, the entire way home from the Metro station, I babbled on and on to Paul about work. And then right as we got to the apartment, right as we walked through the door to our hall, I told him I was done. No more work talk.

"You’re throwing it in the bucket?" he asked.

"Yes. Exactly." I answered.

Yup.yup.yup. Exactly. I saw that painting on Kal’s blog and it hit me with the same impact. Awesome reminder of what to leave at the door– and thanks for your reminder of that too. Doesn’t hurt to hear something you need to hear a million times. Elise, I wanted to say I’m enjoying your blog — and reminiscing about my life in DC area from 1980-1997. Great, great times. Lived on Conn.Ave near zoo (where I worked); then in Rockville, then in Alexandria. I miss all of it. Enjoy!

    Elise – you rock.
It works. Life is better if you leave it at the door.
