I am currently rereading every book in my collection. Between the commute, my early arrivals in Georgetown and my lunch break, I have a lot of time to breeze through books.
And I just reread Sammy’s Hill. It is chick lit. It is easy and breezy and not exactly a thinker. But it is funny. Because Sammy, the main character, is a totally hilarious nut case. And I wish more than anything that she was a real person and she kept a blog. Because I would for sure stalk her life.
The book takes place in DC and Sammy rides the red line to get to work. A fact that I found particularly exciting, mostly because I was sitting on the red line and on my way to work when I read it.
Anyways. Good book. Funny book. Little bit different book. And yes, it is written by Al Gore’s daughter. Somehow that made it all the more interesting to me.
And a sidenote/confession. I really want to write a book. While I am reading books, I always think, "Oh yes, I can totally do this." But let me tell you, reading words and writing words are two completely different tasks.
