And before you say, "But Elise, you do not have a job." I will say, "Yes. Yes I do."
The only thing is I am self employed. And recently, the biggest complaint I have about my boss is that she really does not encourage time management. She lets me do nothing all day. And that can get a little boring.
So today, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I was going to wake up, shower, and be at work by 10am. I figured 10:00 was a good start time, you know, so I could avoid the rush hour traffic.
By the time I pulled into Starbucks (my office) it was already 10:15. And by the time I paid for my coffee and opened my computer, it was 10:25. Fortunately, my boss was running late herself, and I managed to not get yelled at as I started working on a basic website plan that someone has actually asked me to make. And by basic, I mean basically fantastic.
One hour later, I had made progress, thanks for the first sip of caffeine I have had in six days. I felt so good, that I decided to move on to my next item on my job agenda – going to Target to print photos. While waiting for my photos at Target, I multi-tasked by browsing books and magazines. I also found some really cute rings that I would have purchased, if my job paid more than negative $3-4 per day.
I am now browsing the internet. It is my lunch break.
