enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

We climbed what felt like 1000 steps in the heat today to see the Prague Castle. At least we thought it was a castle, but if someone wanted to help us find it it would have been great if they had said, "It is very much like a small city and you will walk past the entrance at least twice. And oh yes, all the signs that point to it say, ‘Prazsky hrad’."

That probably would have cut our quest time in half.

There are a lot of monuments here, but we are not sure what any of them mean. This is not the greatest way to experience a city. However, we do a lot of walking which means we see everything and take excessive photos. Google will have to help us out once we are home and have access to faster internet connection.

Tonight, though, we decided to take a guided tour. It is a Pub Crawl. The flyer assures that discussion of Prague is involved. Stellar.

if you have time, stop in a shop and find a book called “Prague, My Love.” It’s a gguidebook told as a story of a traveller and her guide. That’s what I used as I wandered the city on my own.
