Just returned from the Amsterdam Heineken Experience. Katy and I are holed up in a tiny room on double secret probation AKA free internet time. Score.
We saw the Van Gogh Museum today. And it was very, very cool. Before I left Kerry said that I had to see Van Gogh because his art was relevant to our art. Meaning Scrapbook Art. And at the time I was a little confused. But now I understand. Van Gogh said that he had a strong desire to leave "a certain souvenir" to humankind "in the form of drawings or painting, not made to comply with this or that school but to express genuine human feeling." I understand that want.
And it was awesome to see how his style as a painter developed. How he encouraged the change. How he purposely made an effort to develop and expand his art.
Yes. The Van Gogh Museum rocked the fantastic. For sure.
And then the beer rocked too.
Babe, I miss you. And Kevin, a quick shoutout. I am glad to know you are reading. Katy misses you.
Cheers!!
