enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

That was my senior quote in the Rio Americano High School yearbook.  It is very…promise-filled.  Or inspiring.  Or something.  It is very, "Go Get ’em."  I am not sure I see myself, four years later, in that quote.  But right now, I can see myself very much in this:

"Determine to live life with flair and laughter." – Maya Angelou

I just finished my last final of my college career.  And I will not pretend to have perspective or insight about that yet.  But I do not feel like I am off to encounter new oceans.  I just feel like I am going to keep rolling.  And I want to keep laughing and living in passion.  I love that I get to make the decision to do so.

So unbelievably cool to realize that my next four years are so much less calculated and planned out than my last four were.

Edited to Add: Do not fear, I am completely excited and planning on enJOYing it.

I loved this… the quotes are wonderful and really parallel the different phases of our lives. And congratulations on finishing school!

You might not intend to ‘be off to encounter new oceans’ but that’s what you’re doing! Someday you will look back and see all the oceans you’ve crossed and all the joy and passion that has been with you! Congrats on graduation!

Good for you! And there’s so much to be said for not having the next years all laid out plainly to see.
