enJOY it

Today is International Waffle Day.

I am sorry to realize this at 10:30 on the event.

Had I have known, I would have planned better, and celebrated today as it was meant to be celebrated.  First, I would have stopped at the Sacramento International Airport and got all the people who should have been on my flight to join me in my campaign to honor the finest breakfast/lunch/dinner food of all time.  Then I would have started a caravan of cars from Sacramento to Los Angeles, each with toasters and/or waffle irons plugged into their cigarette lighters.  We would have all driven with the windows down so everyone could smell the sugar-free syrup.  (Yes, I believe you that real syrup is better, but at the rate I consume it, we are sticking with the fake stuff.)  I would have stopped the parade at every IHOP/Denny’s/anything resembling a waffle maker on the way down.  And all the while, I would have been wearing my "I heart waffles" T-shirt and my knife and fork toolbelt.

Oh, it would have been so fantastic.  Right now I would probably be meeting with my agent to determine who gets the rights to the movie: "Waffles: The Other White Dough" and the book: "One Girl’s Pilgrimage to Honor the Waffle."

But alas, I just found out.

I will have to be satisfied with the fact that my sole contribution to the waffle honoring was the two Eggos I ate this morning.

i must say e, i am addicted to sugar free syrup. and when i ran out of it at home (for my eggo waffles) i had to use the regualr stuff, and i didn’t like the taste of it. sugar free is way better!
    But yea for waffle day!

We bought a GINORMOUS box of waffles from Advance food company. The waffles were like 6″ in diameter. It had to have been at least 10lbs. It took us almost a year to finish. mmmmmmmmmmm
