When I grow up I need to have a bookshelf, like this. It will be simple and beautiful, like this. It will be filled with books, like this. This is what is going to make my first apartment and my last house complete. It will not matter if I have no other furniture. I will have this bookshelf and I will read my books on the ground. Or maybe I will just sit on the ground and stare at my bookshelf.

That is just gorgeous! I love it, I’d love to have a bookshelf like that too. I think Ikea sells something similar.

Hi Elise, I’ve been going through your archives (not really from the beginning to now because I keep getting sidetracked on all your other fabulous posts) and just noticed that you really did end up with a bookshelf just like this in your townhouse! I wonder if you remembered this piece of inspiration when you were putting that bookshelf together… Anyway, I’m loving your blog, super inspiring stuff!
