enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

I feel like a heard a quote once that was something like, "A friendship is formed when one person turns to another person and says, me too!"  I googled it and nothing came up.

But regardless if Google wants to admit it or not, this is true.  So true.  We talked a lot in Men & Masculinity today about Men’s Health.  About how often, men are unwilling to admit or seek help for their physical or physiological disorders.  I brought up that this may be because men do not discuss their problems enough to realize that they are suffering from something very common.  That they are not a minority.

In my own life, there are so many times that I have realized that I have an issue because I have talked to my girlfriends.  I have expressed concern and felt comforted by the experiences others shared.  I have felt the security that comes from the realization of I am not the only one.

So much comes from being able to identify with someone else.  In finding similarities.  In comparing stories.  So glad that I have people to open up too.  To say "me too" to.

I randomly just found your blog and thought I would read from the start…
“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: “What! You too? I thought I was the only one.”
