E and P went out tonight,
Which if, I do say so myself, is a rare occasion.
BUT guess what was playing at the bar we were at?!?!?!?!?!?!
Michael Phelps & the 100m Butterfly.
OH MAN.
There is nothing as cool as watching him come back from OH SO CLOSE.
There is nothing as cool as a bar of random people shouting "U-S-A!"
There is nothing as cool as watching Phelps bring it again and again.
Rock on, Phelps, Rock on.

I spent the morning putting together some kits from letterpress prints. There are five more of the original fairy kit and then two different pink/orange ones: "Ooh, la, la" and "enjoy it."I had an idea and a half this morning while on my way to Office Depot. I am working on it.
Thanks for the video comments…during the re-watch I was quite tempted to take it down. It is a little nutty : even for me.

Things I should have mentioned during this video, but forgot:- my hair.
- i also am past my prime for swimming.
- i am in love with the swimming events.
- i know that ice skating is in the winter olympics.
- i really am not bitter about my lack of athletic ability.
- & actually, i am quite excited to have kids and get married.
- (preferably not in that order.)
- (not that there is anything wrong with that.)
- i will post the paper olympic events (and rules) tomorrow.
- there will actually be three events.
- the new art journal kits will be up around 2-3pm est…i will post here when they are up.
- my hair.

This is me reenacting myself watching the Olympics. The ones were I look in pain are the ones where I was pretending it was last night and I was watching women's gymnastics. I love those girls, but man, they make me forget to breathe. One more day of real work and then I am back in action on my second job: getting crafty. I am going to be releasing some more art journal kits on FRIDAY. Some will be nearly IDENTICAL to the first one. Some will be a little random and in very limited quantities. All will be 5×7 in size and include a letterpressed print. And let's make a deal…if they are lame, I promise I will not sell them.
Other cool news : My main man has been getting off his rotations at 3pm. Which is good for him and good for me and therefore good for us.
Other, other cool news : I am not as scared for men's gymnastics individuals tonight. They appear much less breakable than the girls. Go TEAM USA.

It would not be honest if I said my Olympic posts were ending. I am enjoying the whole show more than I thought I would. And I am missing more sleep to watch Prime Time that I should be. And I am so glad so many people seem to have caught the spirit too.
I have a lot going on these next couple weeks. My TODO lists seem a little long and intense. But then I compare mine to Michael Phelps and suddenly, I think my stuff in manageable.

- I get to yell things like "KILL IT!" and "FIIIIIIIIGHT!" at the television without feeling odd.
- DID YOU SEE THE MEN'S 400M RELAY?!? DID YOU SEE THE PHOTO FINISH?
- I was inspired to run three miles today while watching men's beach volleyball.
- The after event interviews are just classic. You can tell these people have little to no acting training.
- Every time you turn around a new record is being broken. Someone is always the first. Or the best. Or both. And it's fantastic.
- EDITED TO ADD : JONATHAN HORTON on the HIGH BAR.
- EDITED TO ADD : STUCK LANDINGS.
Oh man. SO FABULOUS. I told Paul that four years from now I am going to take off all 17 days and just sit on the couch as to not miss a moment. OR. I might just fly to London and pretend I am on the women's gymnastic team.
