We're home! I have so much to share and so much to type. I'll be blogging often in the next few days. Thank you again for all the well wishes! We're so happy and SO looking forward to settling into a new home together in mid-May. I imagine these next few weeks will fly and quick as the last few did.

The bouquets are done and look fabulous. (Mine is the big one shown in the second photo.) I'm planning on them staying fabulous. It helps to be surrounded by positive thoughts and positive people. I've got three girls flying in at 1pm and from there on, it's a party all the way through May 2nd when we get back from Bora Bora.
I'll try and post tomorrow and Saturday – look for updates! Thanks for all your support and encouragement. Loving all your sweet comments.
2 days! Drama and stress free!

Played around with centerpiece displays last night. Today I'm making the bouquets (not adding ribbon, just wrapping with wire.) The centerpieces are going to take less flowers than I originally thought because the blooms are so huge. This means we'll get GIANT bouquets. I'm so excited.
Other plans for today : prep the house for my girls who come into town tomorrow and dum, dum, dum, spray tan. I did a practice round before my bachelorette party and loved it. I joke that I'll be the only person who goes on a tropical honeymoon and comes home paler than when they left. HA.
Happy face, good stuff all around. THREE DAYS!

The flowers arrived. 500 of them. And in under 40 minutes, I got the stems cut off and all of them into water. My hand might fall off, but I am fielding calls from the Guinness Book of World Records so I figure it's worth it.
They look super orange from above but from the side are a bit too yellow. But the moral of the story is "Roll with it." The end of the story is "Get married." So instead of panic, I chopped and now I'm feeling very good about the whole thing. I might go buy some ALL ORANGE roses for the boutonnieres, but other than that, we're good. Thank you, Mom, for the help and the encouragement. Love you.
And if you don't think the above looks like 500 roses, that's because it isn't. These are the 175 roses that I un-boxed last after reading the directions. Apparently, that white cardboard is supposed to stay in place. If you ever want me to not do something, PUT IT IN THE DIRECTIONS. Chances are, I'll read them very late in the game.FOUR DAYS! So much flower work to do. My hand hurts. LOVE!

I shared how I asked my bridesmaids, but I haven't had a post yet about who I asked. I wish I had a photo of us all together, but I've got a feeling by Sunday there will be a few. So here are my girls :
Kristen is my maid of honor. She's Paul's sister and my best friend. Yep, I was friends with the sister and that's how I met the man. When you tell people that they look at you like your just said you like to light yourself on fire. But for us? It's fabulous. We have known each other since 5th grade and as of Saturday around 4:30, my friend will become my sister. Out of control.
Ashley, aka "Kiss", is a friend from high school. We met through our freshman cheer squad and have been connected ever since. She has been in the Peace Corps helping in Guatemala for the past two years and because she's amazing she flew home for the wedding. She got in this weekend and is getting used to things like showers and cars again. I miss her. I love her.
Katy has been my friend since 5th grade. We've done jazz class, beach walks, junior high, high school, Harry Potter Book Club, Europe and Gold River together. Right now she's a teacher in Gilroy but I hope next year she's back in LA so we can do Southern California together.
Erin (far right), aka "Hano", (we're big on shortening last names around here – yes, they call me "Blah") I've known from a far since 5th grade, but known up close since we were on cheer together in high school. She that girl who walks into a room and makes it sparkly. The girl that makes it so easy to pick right back up where you left off. She's also getting married, and I'll be in her Hawaii wedding in July. She does an awesome dolphin impression.
I had to post this photo because it's my four high school bridesmaids visiting me at USC. This was taken around week two of college. We were 18. Tiny babies.
Melanie, aka "Bill", is a sorority girlfriend who currently lives in Chicago. She's a Friend's genius. As in she is not only an amazing friend, but she knows the series better than me. Probably also better than Marta Kauffman and David Crane. She's opposed to any and all punctuation and addicted to cupcakes. I'm addicted to her. Thankfully, she just got back in SC for grad school so she might be in LA next year.
veronica, aka "vero" or "vern", is another sorority girlfriend and my internet soulmate. I'm not saying we'd be matched on match.com, I'm just saying if it's online and I've seen it, she's seen it. And vice versa. And Essie mint nail polish. She's the girl I email from the dressing room before I decide if I need a hot pink romper. She's the girl who replies within a minute, that "yes, it is a good buy." love. xo.I am so blessed with amazing girlfriends. I could write a book (already there is a pretty extensive google doc in the works) about these girls and the other cool college/high school friends coming to the wedding. I'm the first of my girls to be married so this marks a BIG reunion for my college crowd. We're already trying to line up the next engagement so we can be together again.
Just got so excited for the wedding AGAIN. This whole week is full of "DUDE. I'm getting married!" moments. ALSO, I hate facebook but I have to say, the stroll I just took through my photos was pretty priceless.

I've already got 500 roses set to crash land on my doorstep Tuesday morning (fingers crossed they are a shade of orange). To add a bit more spice to the bouquets, I picked up bundles of ranunculus at Trader Joe's this morning. They were only $3.99 for about a dozen stems. Last time we bought them they looked their best (full and open) about a week after they were sat in water. I'm banking on the same result and hope to twist these up into pretty bouquets on Friday.
I'll be popping in at various times this week to share the developments with the flowers and other last minute details. Six days until we're married.
& hey, Billow? That random light pink one is going in your bouquet.
