For my next MAKE&GIVE30 project, I am using yarn again! This is actually the first project I created but the excitement over the first four go in the way. I'm realizing though that I've got to get these knit projects out of the way quick while we are still technically in winter. 😉
I was excited to use up some beautiful yarn that I've had stashed for almost a year! I bought it while I was up in Oregon and originally used it to crochet the world's ugliest cowl. It only made sense that I would give it another life as a knit cowl.
I decided to knit with two strands at once and I am in love with the tight and thick knit that it resulted in, not to mention the pretty way the colors blended. This is just knit stitch over and over. I cast on just 62 stitches and then knit in the round for 60 rows. I used size 10 circular needles that were 18 inches long.
The result is a very small (tight) and cozy knit cowl. It's so soft and warm! I hope it goes to someone in a chilly climate who will get a ton of use out of it…hopefully NEXT winter because spring is coming, right?!

Right now my favourites are coral, neon yellow, turquoise and all kinds of purple. I am currentky working hard on loosing weight and my doctoc tells me it’s gonna take two years, and I am so looking forward to buying new and smaller and pretty clothes!!!!

Tough question! So many combinations have captured my heart…but I’m a turquoise girl at my core. That with navy or coral or lime or red…almost anything!

Being Australian I should say green and gold, but that’s not me… I love your colour combo looks great.
I still come back to my monochromes though, so I have to say black/white/grey as my colour combo. It goes with everything really.

Wellll, we’re going into autumn around here…my favourite colour combination I recently saw on an Instagram feed: Lots of white, black, and warm neutrals (think wood and coffee), with a pop of cherise pink.

the winter is so long, dark and depressing that I love light neutrals for knit accessories to help lighten up a big black coat – cream, grey, camel, white.
