For my next MAKE&GIVE30 project, I am using yarn again! This is actually the first project I created but the excitement over the first four go in the way. I'm realizing though that I've got to get these knit projects out of the way quick while we are still technically in winter. π
I was excited to use up some beautiful yarn that I've had stashed for almost a year! I bought it while I was up in Oregon and originally used it to crochet the world's ugliest cowl. It only made sense that I would give it another life as a knit cowl.
I decided to knit with two strands at once and I am in love with the tight and thick knit that it resulted in, not to mention the pretty way the colors blended. This is just knit stitch over and over. I cast on just 62 stitches and then knit in the round for 60 rows. I used size 10 circular needles that were 18 inches long.
The result is a very small (tight) and cozy knit cowl. It's so soft and warm! I hope it goes to someone in a chilly climate who will get a ton of use out of it…hopefully NEXT winter because spring is coming, right?!
And now! The giveaway! Since this cowl is all about that color mix, tell me your favorite color combination in the comments section. I'll draw a random winner Saturday and I'll ship anywhere.
Winner is #4, Erin who said : My favorite combination lately is gold and light pink! I've been gold and pinking it up like crazy in my little girls room! Can't stop won't stop π (email me Erin!)

I’m a redhead so my go to colors are always rust/ reds, oranges/ ambers. And then I try to throw a little shock factor in like turquoise, or deep slate gray. Lovely cowl, and love to double yarn idea!

I love anything with grey/silver or really deep chocolate brown, as my wardrobe will attest. This is a lovely cowl and I can’t tell for sure by my screen, but I think that color combination will be perfect for Denver π
