Imagine my surprise slash excitement slash nerves this weekend when I stumbled on my World Domination Summit speech on Chris’ Vimeo page. I’m a little to scared to sit and re-watch the whole thing but I did watch the first five minutes and the last five and for the most part, breathed a long sigh of relief.

What a pleasure it was to speak in front of such a crowd this summer – a career highlight FOR SURE. If you missed it, you can read my detailed account of the adventure here : part one, part two, part three.

Random, but I mention two women I admire in the presentation, Amy Poehler and Erin Loechner. I casually note that they are my cousins. This has not quite true but was more of an inside joke with the audience after AJ Jacobs‘ speech about how we are all related (you can watch that here). Awesome in real life but a bit awkward in the Internet world.

I hope you enjoy! (You can click to enlarge!) and please, let me know what you think.

Awww man the stuff you released in me with this TED talk! I want to scream (you hit close to home). I want to hide (again, you hit close to home). I want to break open and finally shine!
I want to step outside of myself so that I can be seen (and not be scared of the eyes looking at me).
You have hit the proverbial nail on the head with this, at least for me. Btw…big, gigantic, enormous Congratulations….for making it all the way thru your talk!!!!!!!

That was awesome. Thank you for inspiring us everyday and for sharing your confidence with us. I teared up when you said how terrified you were of doing this while you stood there rocking it. You rocked it, Elise, you rock! Thanks 🙂

Wowee! Elise! I know I am a little late to the party but I have just finished catching up with your business stories (which were super inspiring by the way – thank you) and found this! Thank you for being so inspiring! You were so so brave to stand up there but you made it look like it was your job! You were fabulous. I listened so intently and absorbed every word (much like with your podcasts) and found myself transported to the WDS and nodding along with it all. It was exactly what I needed. Perfect Timing. Thank you 🙂

I meant to watch with when you first posted it, but of course life gets in the way. But guess what? Today was the exact right day for me to see your talk. My bold statement: I am a Visual Identity Specialist and I help photographers tell their story through photography and design.
Thanks for being you and rocking this!! High five!

A little late to the party… but today seemed like the day I needed to hear what you had to say. It’s been inspiring to watch you grow your business. I’ve been stalking since the “card a day” phase. I stumbled upon your blog from Two Peas, and never left.
Thanks again for always being willing to share the behind the scenes! 🙂

I finally watched this. 🙂 I don’t know what took me so long. (I read your blog every day, so…) Anyway, it was phenomenal. YOU ROCKED IT! 🙂 I loved especially the part about the resource circles, and the sticker exercise.
    Heart emoji!!

Enjoyed this speech! You did really really well. I am scared of public speaking, but like you said “break it down” and “just start!” 😉
I love that people like you are sharing your story! I feel the saaaaaaame waaaaaay about loving to do lots and lots of things and being an entrepreneur. Having just one job title and description is so much easier for explanation and feeling like you have a recognized ‘place’ in the world, but it’s limiting too and not as fun.
    Rock on! 🙂
