enJOY it

As mentioned seven times this year already, I am taking a less traditional approach to Project Life in 2014. Often that means not many layouts, just one or two a month. I've said this seven times too, but it's a busy season (year?) for me and so I'm doing what I can.

And with that said, I LOVE this layout for August that I made using the Studio Calico's Poet Society Project Life kit. This is the sort of spread that makes me remember why I like to document like this.

I took most of the text from this blog post about Ellerie at 14 months and handwrote it on journaling cards from the kit.

I love how "full" a page looks when it's covered in handwriting. That one photo of E I took on her actual 14 month birthday and it's probably one of my favorites yet.

The opposide page is just nine square photos of Ellerie that accompanied the journaling in that post.

It's simple, for sure, but I'm loving it this month. Thank you so much for following along. See my title page for this album here and 2014 album progress here.

Supplies : Studio Calico Poet Society kit, Project Life Design A pocket page, We R Memory Keepers 9 pocket page, zig Millennium pen, gray AC slickwriter.

I REALLY need to include more journaling in my album.
And you know, I spent all of last night (and into the wee hours of this morning) thinking about switching up my approach to PL next year. And I keep coming back to you and your approach this year as a base for my inspiration.
    You rock so hard, Elise.

Elise! You are such an inspiration 🙂 I really loved seeing the progression from the weekly spreads to what you are doing now.
Have you already thought about what to do for 2015?

Love seeing your simplified approach to this. I stopped project life-ing in January, when I found out I was pregnant. I was just too tired. But little boy will be here in just a few weeks, and it’s important to me to pick this back up!

wow this is probably my favorite page so far from you. And you really make me want to only use 3×4 horizontal photos in my next album!

Love this spread! I love that you use handwriting because I think that is much more personal. I sometimes see nice clean layouts with typed notes and while it really looks neat and clean, I prefer this look 🙂 you are such an inspiration, love seeing these layouts.
Oh and by the way (totally off topic) I can’t seem to find your WDS 4 post. Did I miss it somehow or have you not shared it yet? I have been wondering for weeks what happened next! :p

I just love these layouts! Do you find you have a lot of the SC monthly kit left over? I do 90% of my layouts digitally but it would be fun to challenge myself with the monthly kits 🙂

I just love your page full of journaling. Sometimes I worry that I write too much on my Project Life pages, but this eases my concerns. Great page… and darling baby! ❤
