Projectlifejuly

As mentioned at the end of 2013, I am no longer completing my Project Life album on a weekly basis. I did that for two years. I enjoyed the process and I love my albums. This year I am taking a much more relaxed approach and playing more with this project. I don't have much of a plan other than to complete at least one (and sometimes many more) spread a month.

The big win is that I can never be "behind" on this album. I also like that I don't have to worry about having seven horizontal 4×6 photos each week and can group photos by subject instead of date. I love that I will be under no "weekly deadlines" and will be blogging just once a month about my album.

Another one spread month for me!

SUPER SIMPLE. Photos from our Portland trip…

…and then a big photo croppe to 12×6 and then printed as 3 4x6s.

2014 is the year of the 3×4 card, for sure. It's just to easy to make a graphic looking page by alternating photos and journaling cards.

Thank you so much for following along. See my title page for this album here and 2014 album progress here.

Except for getting a peek into your album (which I like) I also like how these posts remind me that I need to get going with my own memory keeping. If only summer wasn’t so hot… phew! 🙂

What font did you use in the first photo? (That says “July Project Life”.)

I love this! I am wondering if you are doing anything special with Elletie’s 1st birthday photos?

I am a HUGE fan of black and white so I am absolutely digging these pages and I love the photo across 3 pockets, something you see often, but something I am yet to see used like that, the effect is awesome!

Love these pages. I keep forgeting to put a picture across multiple pockets. Thanks for the reminder. Which page design is your first page? It looks like F but without the 4×6. The supply list has A and C. Just wondering how you did it.

    Really nice Elise. 🙂
What l appreciate most about your PL posts, is how you’re making this system of memory keeping work for you. I know you can use Project Life in many different ways, but you tend to see the week at a glance approach the most. I tried that in 2013 and failed.
Looking at how else l can approach this, and monthly might just work for me.

I really enjoy that you’ve found a way to keep up with project life in a stress free manner – so inspiring! Thanks for sharing!
Are you doing any other documenting of e’s milestones (first word, steps, teeth, etc)? I’m still working to find a way to do this with my little one’s info, which is currently on scrap papers or in unorganized photos (making it hard to look up how old he was when these things happened). I know you’ve probably answered this question elsewhere, sorry if it’s a repeat.

Elise, Love this spread! Could you share how you cropped and printed the 12×6 into (3) 4x6s? Thanks!

This inspires me to go big in 2015. I have been cramming everything in a mini album, but I hate only choosing 4 pics a page, or only 3 when I want to use a card . . . I LOVE the way your big album pages lay out!!

I love this! In fact I am doing a monthly spread for my Project Life this year as well. I have added more photos for some months with an 8 1/2 x 11 insert that goes into more detail on special events but it is so nice not to feel pressure to complete the weekly layouts. I did great last year until about August and then I fell way behind. I finally completed it but it was not as enjoyable as the beginning or when I had done it previously in a monthly layout.
