It's week forty-three and I am behind on spreads AND behind on sharing, but I'm going to finish up the year.

Week of : October 21 – October 27.

What happened this week? We were home and then Ellerie and I flew up to Sacramento for a few days and I attended a wedding in Napa.

Anything special in the spread? Once again I tucked a wedding invitation into a 5×7 spread (and added our photobooth strip too).

Techniques this week : I continue to play with color schemes…black, white and gray this week. The 3×4 cards came from the Sunshine and Midnight kits plus Meredith Carty and my 2014 calendar.

Overall thoughts : Once my office is put back together I am going to crank out the past few weeks and then finish up 2013…and then figure out what I want to do to properly document 2014. I'll keep you posted.

Ratio of iPhone photos to "real camera" photos : 5 to 4.

Ratio of photos taken by Elise to photos taken by Paul : 6 to 1 to 2 by other folks.

Supplies used : Seafoam core kit, Midnight core kit, Sunshine Core kit, Kelly Purkey (letter stickers), Meredith Carty (adventure card) Elise Joy stamps, Elise Joy photo calendar, Scrapbook and More flair badge.

Tools used : Design A pocket pages, Fiskars corner rounder, Zig Millenium pen, Rotatrim paper trimmer, Office Depot date stamp, staz-on ink. All photos were printed at home on my HP Photosmart 2575 printer on Office Depot semi-gloss photo paper.

Project Life is a memory-keeping system created by Becky Higgins. I use photos, text and stuff to document our life weekly. You can see all the posts from 2012 here and 2013 here. Do you have a question about how I am tackling this project (including anything about the photos)? Check here.

Love this sunshine cards, I’m using that kit for next year. That’s if I ever catch up on this years spreads. But it’s fun playing catching up as well.

I can’t help but notice you didn’t say “I still love this project”! Are you thinking of doing something different next year? I so look forward to your weekly updates. But understand it is hard to keep up the momentum. I do pl on a monthly basis and find that works much better for my family.

The year my son was born I challenged myself to a photo a day project. Every week or so I uploaded to Flickr (sometimes with a caption and mostly not) and at the end I printed the book on snapfish or whatever. Many days had bad photos but I used them anyway and that book is one of my favorite memory keeping projects ever! Super simple and you miss a ton of stuff but flipping through brings back all the memories. I am years behind on traditional scrapbook ing so I especially love it

I noticed also that you left out “and I still love the project”. I’m glad you mentioned 2014… can’t wait to see what your plans are! I’m way burnt out on Project Life but I love documenting the year.

I love the little mini square photos on the 3×4 card. That’s such a great idea! I’ll definitely be using that. 🙂 Did you print out the squares and adhere them individually, or did you photoshop and print the 3×4?

definitely interested to see what you do to document 2014! this was my first year of project life and I’m totally behind, mostly due to photo printing…debating about doing something similar to your garden and home blurb books with my favorites from the year, I loved those books, very inspiring 🙂

You may not know, but I’m curious where your friend’s wedding invitation is from? I’m deciding where to purchase mine at the moment and that looks almost exactly like what I had in mind! If you happen to know, please share! Thanks!
