This might be my favorite sewing project yet. But it's not very practical as a costume… the flamingo neck doesn't stand up straight so it really only works laying down. That's okay though, Ellerie is excellent at laying down. The wings are my favorite part (I used felt for the base, added felt feathers and then secured them to store bought butterfly wings). We'll be keeping them for future dress-up play for sure. (…and maybe next October I'll get a real tutorial for this costume together.)
