It's week twenty-four and I'm playing catch-up.

Week of : June 10 – June 16.

What happened this week? It was a long week of waiting. I choose not to use an assortment of photos and focus instead on two big things – I hit my due date and Paul came home.

Plwk24detail3

Anything special in the spread? I printed 2 iPhone photos 12×12 and cropped the photos to fit into the pockets. I left an empty space on each to add a journaling card.

Techniques this week : You can see how I print photos 12×12 for cropping on a home printer in this video.

Overall thoughts : Love this spread. Love that I finally had an event in 2013 worthy of the full page photo. Love that it's done and in the books.

Ratio of iPhone photos to "real camera" photos : 2 to 0.

Plwk24detail

Ratio of photos taken by Elise to photos taken by Paul : 1 to 1. (Paul took that arm stretched out one. And actually my mom took the "ripe" one.)

Supplies used : Seafoam core kit.

Tools used : Design A pocket pages, Fiskars corner rounder, Zig Millenium pen, Rotatrim paper trimmer, Office Depot date stamp, staz-on ink. All photos were printed at home on my HP Photosmart 2575 printer on Office Depot semi-gloss photo paper.

Project Life is a memory-keeping system created by Becky Higgins. I use photos, text and stuff to document our life weekly. You can see all the posts from 2012 here and 2013 here. Do you have a question about how I am tackling this project (including anything about the photos)? Check here.

I really love this week’s spread. I did this type of thing with a mini album I did a few weeks ago, but I love that you did it as a 12×12. 🙂

I’m amazed your iPhone photos were hi res enough to blow up and print that big. Usually they have to be 300 dpi minimum, 600 optimal. Myine phone is a 3Gs and my pics are kind of blurry.

Beautiful, Elise! This week will really pop out in your album, which is perfect because what a BIG DEAL. The ripe sticker on your belly is hilarious. Doesn’t hurt that ripe rhymes with Cripe also. Don’t know why, but that makes it funnier. Maybe because there was a ripe Cripe in there!

I’ve used 12×12 photos in my layouts before (with the help of your video!) but I love how you added the journaling card to each page 🙂 Great idea.

No. I linked to a video in this post about how I use a normal printer to break up the 12×12 photo for the pockets.

Hey Elise! Love the page, I think it looks super cute and I have done it myself several times over the last few years. I have a question for you and I’m sure you have already started or thought about it but how are you going to do Ellerie’s baby book? Are you doing it PL style, did you buy a pre-made on to go along with her PL style book? Are we going to see what you did/are doing? Just curious? I did my son’s baby book PL style before it was really an idea and it isn’t quite finished, I think it needs some polishing and I was just curious to how you were going to do yours. Thanks in advance. You look great btw and Ellerie is an awesome name! Take care.

I am not doing a baby book, I’ll most likely just have the letters I write to her and some photos printed by blurb
