Aprilboldintentions

Every time I sit down to write one of these posts I pause to marvel over the fact that it feels like I just wrote one. March was good. Progress in on the setting the house front. Progress on the blog and business front. Progress on backyard landscaping and gardening front. I am now 31 days closer to seeing Paul and meeting the baby.

This month, I have plans for every weekend. That's awesome and will help the time move quickly. It will also help me be smart about how I spend my weekdays. I predict fewer Friends DVD changes in my future. (And that's a good thing.)

Bold intentions for April :

  1. get the basic necessities for the baby girl.
  2. re-invite daily walks into the schedule.
  3. set up our bedroom so it feels like a welcoming space.

In black and white text these are not overwhelming. It's getting them out of text and into reality that makes me a little nervous.

Here we go, April. Work your magic, Spring.

Awesome stuff 😀 Hope you have a wonderful month… time really is flying…
I was wondering what your thoughts are on the One Little Word course? I’m thinking of signing up even though I’m a few months late and am wondering if it’s worth it as I’m pretty strapped for cash at the moment… But I’m soooo curious…
    Have a great April!

Sounds good! Glad you have plans for the weekends. I work from home and always try to keep one thing or two happening on the weekend so I don’t feel like I just exist in my apartment. Can’t wait to see what you do with your room 🙂

    You’ve got this! Welcome, April!!
(You probably already received some of the Aden & Anais swaddling blankets at one of your showers, but I had them with my 3rd and LOVED them. I considered it a necessity. :))

Oh, and also…As you begin to wash up some of the sweet baby things that are going to be your daughters in a short time (!) it always just starts to seem so much more real. And laundry has never been more fun. 🙂

I am loving it because it’s helping me stay focused on my OLW. Totally a personal preference though – do you usually do well with e-courses and self-paced classes? In my experience, you get out what you put in. If you don’t have time to commit to focusing on it, probably not the best investment. But if you are looking for a challenge and have the time, go for it! 🙂

They are now also making crib sheets. I’m going to pick a couple up for warmer weather.

I’ll have another think about it then 🙂 Thank you so much for your input!
I think I do reasonably well as long as I have some sort of curriculum to follow… I haven’t actually tried an e-course like this before, maybe this’d be a good chance to try my first – I’d love to have some sort of theme to accompany me through the year…
By the way (sorry for so many questions) – your “I Choose” workshop – what sort of time frame do you reckon is needed to work through it? I’ve had my eye on that one for a while as I tend to struggle a little with goal setting and sticking to my plans. xD
I envy your planning skills so much 🙂

You could read through the course and watch the videos in less than an hour and a half. But the goals are set up to be worked on in a monthly time frame. 🙂
    Good luck deciding!

I’ve been using monthly goals this year too, and I agree, each month just sneaks up on me. But I love this method of goal setting. It’s so rewarding to see a more short-term goal be met!

I swear, I make daily walks a goal every time nice weather rolls around and stick to it for about two weeks. I am so bad! If you come up with any tips on how to stay motivated, I would love to hear them. My dogs and little one would thank you for getting them out of the house 🙂

I am so excited to how April progresses for you and your family! Since baby girl is due this summer, do you still plan on producing a summer book for purchase? I love the for the love of book, but will wait if something is coming around the corner. I completely understand if you decide not too and just order the other book. Thanks!

    Hey Elise, how are doing?
I used to read you every day, but life is been so crazy these days…oh, dear, I miss my reading time.
Still, I bumped into a music and it reminded me…why?! Well, the song’s name is ‘Brave’, by Sara Bareilles.
    I hope you like it.
    Kind regards from a Brazilian.
