Obviously a baby on board means no alcohol. I'll be honest, I thought I would miss having a drink in the evenings or beer on football Saturdays, but it's been an easy transition. (And I definitely don't miss feeling dehydrated and I love how clear my skin has become!)

So I still have something fun to drink, Paul has been mixing up virgin cocktails every night, usually with whatever fruit we have in the house. Recently, he stumbled on the perfect blend and I wanted to share it here (Plus it is pink…so it's perfect for celebrating the little lady.)

Squeeze into a large (because why not?) drinking glass the juice from one lemon, one blood orange (or half a grapefruit!) and four small clementine oranges. Stir in a bit of honey. (Add to taste. We use about 2 tsps but it totally depends on how tart your fruits are.) Fill the rest of the glass with soda water and add a bunch of ice. Stir a bit more and enjoy.

*And if you want to add a kick : use a smaller glass, skip two of the clementines, add (way) less soda water and throw in a shot of vodka or Bourbon.

This looks SO good! When I was pregnant with my last 2 kiddos I totally thought that I was going to miss Sunday football beers but it was such an easy, natural transition — kind of surprised me, but I won’t complain! And for the record — my son is now 9 months old and I haven’t had the urge to drink yet. Can’t complain about that, either!
Looking forward to testing out this drink, thanks for sharing!

I stumbled across this website yesterday and she has recipes for flavored water. It should add variety to the milk and water drink diet.

This looks really good with or without alcohol, and it’s a great way to use up all that seasonal citrus that’s around.

That sounds yummy!!! Congratulations on your little girl on the way. So exciting! I wanted to ask you if you could give me any direction on printing on the journaling cards for project life. Do you need photoshop? I have a MacBook Pro and just edit my pictures through iphoto. Thank you for your help!

thanks! Like from the acdigitals site? I do not have any special tips.. I use Photoshop Elements for ALL of my resizing and printing. I would recommend getting in touch with their customer service team to see what they recommend. 🙂

your drink is called a St Clements, after the line in the nursery rhyme called Oranges and Lemons – “oranges and lemons said the bells of St Clements”. It’s a UK rhyme (very old fashioned) that has the different church bells of London “talking” to each other – the rhyme they say echoes the pace and tones of their regular bell chimes.

If I could butt in – you could do it in Word.
Create a text box of the size you want. Make sure the rulers are showing so you can measure your box. Make it a bit smaller than the space itself. Type in the box.
Then print it out on a test sheet. Put the sheet on top of the card and hold both up to a window to make sure it fits right.
Then use temp adhesive (like Dotto) to adhere the card over where you printed on the sheet. You should be able to run it thru your printer and then peel it off the sheet. That is how I have printed on cardstock scraps, vellum, etc for years.

YUM! Just curious what your philosophy is on caffeine during your pregnancy. I know you guys love your Chemex 🙂 I know every person is different and can enjoy caffeine in moderation if they choose 🙂

I drink a cup of coffee a day. Pretty strict about just one cup, but do not feel guilt about that one. 🙂 no soda at all, but I was already doing that. 🙂
