Surprise!

Of course! 😉

What a total joy! Seriously. What a joy.

At our ultrasound yesterday we learned Baby Cripe is developing right on schedule with four heart chambers and four very active limbs. Baby looks healthy and she has the cutest profile ever. I had yet to cry at an ultrasound and this one brought tears. I really feel like I knew she'd be a she.

I am SO glad that the baby cooperated and Paul and I were able to find out together. It's still very up in the air that he'll be home for the birth and so sharing this small moment was so special for us.

We feel very blessed and are overjoyed to be welcoming a little girl into our home this June.

p.s. all the online gender predictors said boy, so pregnant friends, feel free to take all that with a grain of salt. 🙂

    Yay!! that’s so exciting, Elise. I am due in May and not finding out what we’re having, so it’s fun to live vicariously through you and see your excitement during this moment. where did you find that cute maternity shirt/where are you starting to look for maternity clothes? I like Old Navy because of price, and I know gap and target to also be good. Just wondered if you had any fun insights on any of that! I love following your progress and picking up on any cues/thoughts/pregnancy and baby insights you have along the way. It’s definitely a wonderful, amazing, emotional, personal yet relate-able, beautiful process.

    Congratulations! I have one of each and was wrong about both, so I am not even trying to predict what my current pregnancy (due in July) will bring. We don’t find out, so I get to play with more names! Baby names are so much fun, I hope you and Paul are enjoying dreaming up the perfect one for your little girl!

    Totally so excited for you….if you cried then boy of boy when you see your baby in real life there will be tears. It is funny because women are having babies every day of the year however when they give you your baby and just stare at him or her you cannot believe that two people made this little human being…….that is an amazing amazing thing.     Congratulations Elise and Paul!!! How absolutely wonderful!
    I’m so glad she co-operated. Our latest little one had the foot in the wrong position at the ultrasound which also spelt the end of me, as I was so desperate to find out.
    Thankfully I found a mobile sonographer who could come out to our place the very next day for a very reasonable fee and he was able to tell us within the first five seconds that we were having a boy!!!
    Congratulations again – cherish every moment.

    How wonderful! Hubby and I have decided to not find out the gender of our little one until he/she makes his/her appearance in this world. I live vicariously through everyone who does find out! Cute baby bump, too 🙂 I’m 19w2d, and we look like we have the same belly!

    hey! Congrats! I have found some cute tops (like this one) at Target. Old Navy is good. I have not liked anything at Gap. I have been wearing lots of alternative apparel henleys, but I am not sure how long they will fit over the bump (they are not maternity). I will be sure to share on the blog when I find good options. 🙂

    Ever since we were teenagers Jen and I have felt that whenever we have, or adopt, a baby she’ll be a well… she. We’ve even had a name picked out: Cynn. I can’t imagine any other name. happy sigh One day. 😉
