photo details : do your best pennant from three potato four, letter stamps are super old from Michael's, brave cards are for my one little word album and are part of a lesson from Ali's one little word class.

First, I cannot thank you enough for sharing in my joy and excitement about the launch of Seafoam. I really appreciate your patience too. Launching in mid-January is not ideal and I know Becky and the team were just as anxious as I and you were to see it on Amazon. I am looking forward to sharing more of how I will use the kit in my own album this year and can't wait to see how you all use it! I have loved the peeks I have seen so far from international and digital customers. 🙂

Second, the stamp shop is open & I have a new 4×6 minibook listed in the book shop! These books are just for fun (not seasonal or themed) and called "For the love of _________." I could see them holding love notes for a specific person (a cute Valentine gift, perhaps?) or being added to over time with photos and journaling about a favorite thing or activity. I am a big fan of the paper mix this time around and I have priced them to sell – ideally, I'll get them all out the door before we move.

And speaking of moving: Paul and I are headed down to San Deigo tonight for our first house hunting trip. We have looked at many places online and will be seeing our favorites in real life on a whirlwind tour with our realtor. I'll be taking a lot of photos and notes. My dreams are filled with hardwood floors and clean white walls, but we'll see. Big adventures ahead for our little family and we're so excited (and maybe a bit overwhelmed).

On Sunday we'll head to Anahiem and I am going to get dinner with some sweet ladies then wander CHA for a quick bit on Monday morning. So looking forward to seeing the Project Life booth and checking out what other scrapbook products will be launching this spring. If you see me… please say hello!

Have a great weekend. And thank you again.

Looks like a busy week you’ve had! Goodluck with the house hunting, I’ve recently been through it with my partner, and it can be such an exciting thing! We loved it to start with, but after a few months where we couldn’t find anything reasonable within budget, so we decided we’d build instead. Your mini books look cute too!

Elise, i am also a military wife (currently stationed in Little Rock, AR … Airforce, btw) and before moving here (almost a year ago) we too went online and found our favorites, e-mailed our realtor and had a whirlwind walk through of our choices. Two things… First, USAA has GREAT deals for military.. And second, our realtor looked over our choices prior to our arrival and MADE us see this house, the VERY first house she wanted to show us, we saw it online and did NOT like it, but she was PERSISTENT.. So we looked at it and fell in LOVE.. I guess i’m just saying keep your options open and see if your realtor has some hidden gems… Sorry this was a bit long..

I was going to say something to similar to Emilie. If you use a realtor through USAA they are suppose to give you money back, like $1200 but this is also depended on your state. I live in Oklahoma and OK does not honor this. Also if you are planning on use a VA loan check through USAA check to see how long it will take to close on the house. When we were buying a house a few years ago it was taking up to 90 days. We went with a different lender in the end because we couldn’t wait. Last thing, when you start looking have a rating system and don’t go back on your deal breakers. For example, our 3 deal breakers were the front or the back of the house could not be on a main road and it had to have a decent sized back yard because we have 2 dogs. Sorry this was so long as well. Good luck on house hunting, can’t wait to see pic. Oh and I ordered a Seafoam kit and I’m dying to get my hands on it. 🙂

That For the Love of book is a great idea! I could see filling it with pics and business cards from my favorite town, Chicago. Or just Chicago architecture. Or my dog! Or letterboxing! I have 6 years of pics from letterboxing. Or cross stitch! Been doing that for 10 years.
Or heck even my job. I don’t love every moment but I LOVE HAVING a job.

Elise, I have a question that might be silly, but I am hoping you will be totally honest about! I purchased the Seafoam kit digitally because I was anxious for the paper version — and I have now purchased the paper version. I am excited!! And I love it!! Here’s my question — I have been using the digital version to print cards and stuff so that I could do my first couple of weeks and not get behind (this is my first attempt at PL, so I am worried that if I get too far behind I won’t finish)! As I’ve ben messing with the digital version I have modified a few of the cards, changed the color or something. For example, I love the 3×4 card that has diagonal orange stripes…but I wanted one of them to be the blueish color in the kit, so I changed one of the lines to blue (all orange, one blue stripe, using the color matcher in PS). Is it OK to do that? Or is that some sort of faux pas? I do not want to offend anyone! I think I will probably use both the digital and the paper version of the kit throughout the year because of this versatility! 🙂 thanks! Good luck with house hunting!

makes sense! Many of the homes we ruled out were due to location, cost or the fact that they had a pool / needed renovations we cannot afford at this time. We did not dump ANYTHING based on what the inside (or outside) looked like. 🙂

I think I might try your blank “for the love of” book as a simplified project life of sort (but monthly instead of weekly). Sure I’ll be looking over your minibooks for ideas to pull it together, etc; but how would you suggest to best incorporate square IG photos in this book?

What a great idea to rubberband your stamps together. I have lots of different alphabet stamps but dont really use them bacuse they done line up when i do words, so I usually only do initals for peoples names will be using them alot more now.

The reason we didn’t like our (now) house was the previous home owner’s realtor.. The way they listed it, the realtor did NO justice to this house.

can I ask what stamps you used for the word brave? the wooden letter stamps that i have are not neatly lined up (the rubber part is glued at a slight angle, or higher or lower, etc. on the wood), so rubber banding them (which is genious by the way!) would not help! i’m a little ocd about things lining up, so I would love to know what kind of stamps they are! 🙂

i have stamps like that too and have the same problem. i turn them over so i can see and line up the rubber part and then i use a piece of tape on the other/top side to hold them in place while i stamp. hope that makes sense and helps 🙂
