fun facts about the photos : that love wood chip embellishment is by Freckled Fawn. I get my flair badges from Evalicous, Hello Forever & Ormolu. We are so excited to start Homeland.

Annnnd, we made it to Friday.

Busy week, getting things wrapped up around here (in some cases literally). The blog is always busy towards the end of the year… lots of review-ish posts to write and look forward to in the next few weeks. I am so excited to take a few days off and enjoy Christmas and New Years up with family. Paul and I have a mini-vacation to San Francisco scheduled within our Sacramento adventure and I am so looking forward to dressing up for a fancy dinner and seeing a musical while the city is still lit up for the holidays.

Moderate to important news: I am switching planners for 2013. I have used and loved the Moleskin color-a-month planners for the past two years but have realized over the past few weeks that with the move and doctor's appointments and everything else to look forward to in 2013, I need to see the whole year at once. It's taking some getting used to (just writing in items and staring January lists) but I am so far in love with my new (personalized) planner. And you can see a peek of my 2013 One Little Word on the front! I'll be sharing more about why I picked this word and how I plan to document it next week.

Look for a pretty normal posting schedule from me the next few weeks, and of course, I'll be on Instagram in the meantime.

Housekeeping items :

My self-paced workshop with Big Picture Classes, I Choose, is available and remember if you sign up before 12/25, 200% of the profits will be donated through BPC's Give Back Campaign. You can read more and sign up here.

The digital version of Seafoam is available now at acdigitals.com! Latest word on when the paper kit version is getting to amazon can be found here. I am so sad and sorry that the kit isn't here for Christmas and may not be here for the start of the new year. In the meantime, Becky is your best source for up to the minute information (keep an eye on her twitter feed) and I'll be sharing on twitter as soon as I see a link and on the blog shortly after. Thank you for your patience!

    I have a quick question:
Now that the Seafoam kit won’t be realeased until January I was wondering if I should get a generic album to do my PL with this year or wait for the Seafoam one. Do you know what the binder is going to look like for Seafoam and can we see a peek of it somewhere? If it’s super rad than I want to hold off for it. Thanks Elise!

Hope Elise doesn’t mind me answering, I was just on the site myself looking at the Seafoam products 🙂 You can see all the Seafoam products, including the binder (it is seafoam colored with chevron pattern- cute!) here: http://www.beckyhiggins.com/products/

When I saw the planner I thought you had designed it and it was a new item in your shop. That cover looked so much like part of your wedding invitations! It’s very “you”.
I tried a paper date book this past year and I used it a little, but it was not optimal. Luckily it was free!

Hopefully you saw that link! I am waiting for a seafoam binder as well and in the meantime (so I can collect photos and stuff) I just pulled out all the pages from one of my 2012 clementine albums, stacked them in a pile and will use that album temporarily. Do you have something on hand you can transfer? Otherwise we r memory keepers has great solid color albums in stock on amazon! 🙂

Last year, I had to do Jan-March in a random binder and without the PL pages. Not cool, but PL is awesome enough that I’m glad I pushed through those first few months in order to keep up with the whole year! 🙂

For your One Little Word (love!) have u seen Andrea Scher of Superhero Life / Mondo Beyondo has a Cultivating Courage 30-day class starting mid-January? I assume you’re super busy but thought you may enjoy the class as a kick-off to your 2013 OLW 🙂

Have fun with Homeland! My husband and I watched the first season and we are addicted. I neglected to realize we don’t have Showtime, so now I am impatiently waiting for season 2 to end and come out on DVD.
P.S. I just discovered your blog recently and you have inspired me to start scrap booking again. Thank you for your beautiful posts! 🙂

Love THAT Planner Elise!! I found myself saying “Be Brave” to my 10 year old daughter each morning I drop off her at school, especially when I knew she was experiencing some difficulty at school.
There are a few prints from etsy and a decal from Shanna Murray that I want to get for her room. Thought you may like these too.

Hey, how did you get your Lawn Fawn embellishment to stick to your page protector? I originally used glossy accents, but it came off. So I ran it through my xyron, and it seems to be sticking, but I wanted to see if you had a secret. Thanks.

I just used my regular adhesive roller on the back. Worked similar to a xyron, I assume.

Elise, when I learned Sea Foam’s release would be delayed, I went to AC and bought the 3×4 journal cards. I’m bummed because the main thing I was after was your “hearing/smelling/seeing” senses prompts but it wasn’t in there.
Is that prompts on the 4×6 cards or just not included in the digital AC items?
Thanks—sorry if the answer is else where and I didn’t find it!

Hmmm, that is very strange! I was not the person who put together the digital kits and have not yet even seen them, so I do not know why cards would be missing. I will forward your comment on to Becky, and also recommend that you contact the acdigitals customer service. Sorry for the trouble and confusion. Elise

Thanks for the reply, Elise. After spending time looking around American Crafts, it looks like that card is included with the 4×6 “filler cards” for some reason. I think I will wait for the paper product before I buy more digital—we’ll all try to be patient!

Just curious why you prefer a paper planner rather than an electronic one? I’ve been trying to find a system that works for me in digital and haven’t found one yet. Maybe going back to paper will work.

Hi Elise.. A little off the subject but I recently purchased the e-course that you collaborated on with A Beautiful Mess (its awesome by the way) The one thing I can’t get my head around is how to make my posts appear on my homepage ASWELL as appear in the extra pages I have added?? Does that make sense? E.g I am trying to write about a project I am doing and want it on the homepage aswell as the ‘Projects’ section of my blog.. I have added categories etc to see if that works but still it doesnt click.. I am using WordPress btw 🙂 Thankyou I would really appreciate your feedback xxx

I’m so excited to start using the digital kit for 2013– I’m planning of doing a mix of digital and paper– the seafoam kit is just to die for! I have been stalking Becky’s blog and twitter feed for the amazon announcement. I have Amazon gift cards saved from September, JUST for Seafoam 😉
And I’m loving your “I Choose” class too!
Hope you have a great holiday!
