We were up in Kirkwood (near Tahoe!) this past weekend for the wedding of one of Paul's college friends. It was stunningly beautiful. Weddings are always amazing, but for this one they did such a wonderful job on the details. Fortune cookies with custom sayings? Blue mason jars? The wooden arch? THAT SKY?!?

Loved it. I love love. Two more weddings to go in our Summer 2012 Marriage Marathon. Check plus.

ps. my earrings and dress. sadly, I don't have a source for that clutch.

What a lovely place for a wedding. We had our wedding outdoors too. I think outdoor weddings, especially mountain top ones are stunning!

    WOW! That is gorgeous!!!
One of my long term goals is to do a mini album of all the weddings I have attended.
Maybe I should just do all the weddings I have been IN. That would be nine (I am a popular girl). The last one was MOH at my mom’s wedding 18 months ago.
Since I’ve been being a bridesmaid/MOH since um, 1985, I always thought it would be fun to collect pictures of me in ALL my bridemaids dresses in one spot. LOL

LOVE your earrings 🙂 Hey, I’ve been searching your blog for 1/2 hour trying to find the name of the company you used to print your instagram photos – the ones with the white border that look like business cards? Do you remember who you used? Thanks!

Pretty + fun details and that wood arch is.stunning! That sky?! Couldn’t have designed a more perfect one. You and your love aren’t too shabby yourselves- your grin + sparkling eyes screams”i love love!” I havent been to a wedding in a few years, so thanks for sharing!
A little trip down memory lane: My husband and I married just over 5 years ago in a morning ceremony in a garden on the grounds of an OLDInn in Sturbridge,MA. One of my fondest memories of the morning was during the ceremony we heard everyone giggling and turned, and looked down to see our youngest (then almost 3) burying “I planting pretties” her rose petals in the flower bed next to the gazebo we stood in front of ❤
(our children stood up for us – then 13-3, one was my maid of honor, ring bearer- my two from my first marriage-the youngest two were flower girls scattering baskets full of rose petals down the stone walkway)

There’s something in the Tahoe air. It makes people happier, nicer, etc.

We also attended an outdoor wedding last weekend that included blue mason jars, twine, and a wooden arch. I especially enjoyed the DIY “photobooth” — a structure made out of branches with white flowy curtains and a DSLR sitting on a vintage table nearby. 🙂
I finally posted a few pictures today: http://r8chel.wordpress.com/2012/08/17/lovely-outdoor-summer-wedding/
