Ontheroad

Paul and I head to Palm Springs this weekend (so excited!) and I'm taking my summer book (with painted cover), some favorite pens, striped washi tape, a few labels & some cute clips

Start

I was anxious to get started last night though, and I added some wrap-around labels with "goals" (I know – geektastic) to the first patterend page. I plan filling this whole album with photos and text from this trip, but am not sure how much of it will actually be tackled while on vacation and how much I'll complete at home. I love Project Life so much, but I'm looking forward to documenting this trip in a totally different way.

Want more minibook inspiration? Here are two favorite minibooks I made while traveling – NYC & Kauai. And this is my favorite minibook of all time from our honeymoon to Bora Bora. Interested in filling in your own summer book? Shop here.

I love that you take minibooks on the road, it makes so much sense to add things to it day by day instead of coming home with a bag of reciepts, business cards etc., but I can never seem to get myself organized enough ahead of time to make it work…I suppose theres always next time…

I like your goals — especially the one about not getting a sunburn. That’s always a goal for me on vacations too, but I never thought to write it down! 🙂

I recently bought Ali Edwards’ “Scrapbook on the Road” workshop because I’m traveling to Oregon and Colorado in a month and I want to do minibooks on the road for the first time. When you get back, I would LOVE to hear about what you did in your minibook on your trip vs. what you did when you got back, what supplies were great to have/any you wish you had brought, tips, etc. I haven’t decided on a size yet for mine but if I go for 4×6 your summer book tops my wish list 🙂

I’ve been thinking about ordering a summer mini for our honeymoon (end of july) and this just gave me the final push. Ordered the plain cover and thinking of doing something similar to this only “aloha”. So excited! 🙂

I love the fact that Paul tolerates / appreciates / engages in these sorts of ideas. I’m not sure which one of those words it is – but appreciating / humoring my craft is definitely on my list of qualities that must exist in a man. I know this seemed random, but to bring a book to fill out on a vacation means that he’s definitely onboard.
