chemex coffee maker (we made the switch last week and there's no going back), tokketok happy note pads, anthropologie beaded headband (I finally figured out how to make circle headbands work with my hair), black and white fedora (I've tried on about 100 hats in the past few days – to keep the sun off my face this summer – and this men's fedora looked the best), j.crew striped swimsuit, tattly temporary tattoos, david's tea travel mug.
Is there a trick to the headband thing? Typically they slide off my head within minutes!

I don’t drink coffee, but I love the look of that coffee maker! And that David’s Tea travel mug is amazing! I get compliments on mine every single time I use it. And I’ve dropped it, and it survived. Such a pretty bathing suit. 🙂

That swimsuit is adorable! I LOVE Chemex coffee makers- my friend converted me and if I drank coffee often enough, I’d buy one. This is a silly request, but could you share how you wear headbands? I’m really bad at them and can’t decide if they work for me!

Elise, I have a hard time just finding hats for summer period. My hubby and I just returned from punta canna on vacay. Before going two friends lent me hats, now I love them and know what to buy! Love the tommy Bahama brand the paper braid fedora for women in navy or white, really similar to the one u posted or is the one u posted??? And the sandiego hat company, love their hats now too!

Joel & I have been using a Chemex for the last month or so also, and we love it too! Good choice! I remember my mom using one growing up, but I never liked coffee back then enough to try it 🙂

hi elise – love the chemex coffee pot. my dh would love that. what kind of coffee do you brew? after looking at the site it states regular, medium, coarse grind coffee. we typically get ours from costco and grind it there.

we do all sorts of stuff. starbucks beans, traders joes, whatever. We have a grinder and grind at home every morning. we JUST got the chemex, so I will be posting more about it when we have more experience with it. 🙂

LOVE my Chemex!!! I still have a coffee pot, but since I’m the only one in the house who drinks coffee, I find myself reaching for the Chemex most of the time 😉

A strapless bathing suit – while it would cut down on tan lines, I think I’d be too worried about it falling down the whole time… hm. It’s definitely adorable though 🙂
