MONDAY : wake up @ 7:50. eat cereal and check email, twitter & blogs. drive to a 9am Bar Method class. get through it, but just barely. stop at Trader Joe's to buy fruit & greek yogurt. drive home. start the coffee machine and hop in the shower. get dressed, drink coffee and look over today's to-do list. it's short; with Paul gone, I worked all weekend. respond to emails and comments. cook eggs for lunch. sort of a scramble plus bread. messy but satisfying. decide to drive up to Carlsbad to pick up some envelopes from Paper Source. stop by Athropologie, Urban Outfitters and Lululemon in addition to Paper Source. resist buying a pair of green jeans at Anthro, find nothing at Urban and score on some sale items at Lulu. drive home. remember that I hate the drive to Carlsbad. check & respond to emails while snacking on watermelon. take a one hour nap. (have I mentioned I worked all weekend?) video chat with Paul in Mississippi. am in a very odd mood. work for a few hours on a photo album project. (I'll be sharing soon.) cook dinner : potatoes & a spinach salad. eat dinner while watching season two of Arrested Development on netflix. open a bottle of wine. keep watching Arrested. decide to get started on this post.
enJOY it

Send some of that 75 degree weather here. We have been having obnoxious heat here. They called a high of 91 a “cold front “!!!

too tired to form full sentences… go back and get the green jeans. they’re awesome. is paul’s hair cut new? i am a fan. that carlsbad shopping center is 2 minutes from my parent’s home. we need to meet up next time i’m down! do you have some “everyday” (i.e. yummy but inexpensive) bottles of wine that are your “go-to”. would love to know ’em.

I’m loving this post! It’s really neat to get to see fellow bloggers in their offline life! Looks like you had a productive and very satisfying day. If I did this little project it’d be nothing but me sitting a desk, eating lunch, sitting at a desk, driving home, and collapsing into bed! Thanks for keeping it interesting! (:

so awesome, right? call me when youre in town! It would be worth the drive to see you! He did just get it cut – it is getting shorter and shorter as we move to deployment. I will talk to Paul and get him to make a list of 10 great (red) wines under $20. ASAP. xo.

Hi Elise. I’ve been reading your blog for a while and have bought a few minibooks. I may have commented once or twice before, but I’m mostly a lurker. I just wanted to say you’ve been in my thoughts as you & Paul move closer to deployment. Hope all goes well for the both of you. 🙂

Great pics Elise! I’m doing WITL for my first time and loving it so far!
Be careful with the lemon in your water . . . I know it tastes good but it’s very hard on the enamel on your teeth. My dentist is really against lemon water, so I quit about a year ago. I miss it so much!LikeLike

hey! not sure what kind… just small red ones. I sliced them then tossed in olive oil, pepper, garlic salt and rosemary and cooked over medium heat for about 10 minutes.

Thanks for sharing this Elise! I’m working on my summer mini and sometimes struggle because I also work from home and don’t have a lot to put in. But you’ve inspired me to photograph all those extra-ordinary moments in my day!
