hi folks!

Next month is shaping up to be crazy with the blog workshop and prep work for the craft fair I will be participating in.

Of course, it is also a big priority that this blog stays active and so I'm asking – do you have any suggestions for blog topics? I've got 20 days to fill and not a ton of time to be thinking up blog ideas.

If you'd like me to write about something, please leave a request in the comments. And to sweeten the pot – I am giving away 5×7 digital prints (your choice) to three randomly chosen commenters. Suggestions are always welcome, but this giveaway will close tomorrow (Friday) morning. And the winners will then be announced in this post.

WINNERS : Dawn S, Andrea Miller & Erica. Please email me with the print of your choice and I'll send it out! Thank you!!

As a military spouse, I am curious about how being a Navy wife is. My husband is in the Army. What different places have you pcs’ed to, which were your favs, which duty stations would you like to be stationed at? How do you plan traveling when Paul is deployed? What designers/ companies inspire you most?

I think it would be fun to learn about married life from Paul’s perspective. Or photos of your favorite places in town. Or review the latest book you’ve read.
Good luck finding blog topics, Elise!

This is a completely personal question, so I understand if you wouldn’t feel comfortable answering it. I’m curious, though, how you and Paul have navigated married life and money. My fiance and I are in the beginning stages of this. He’s working, and I’m in grad school, and I really have no idea how we’re going to manage the whole money thing. Will I always have to feel guilty about buying a new pair of pants? Because that would be sad…

Seems like Paul has quite the followership here 😉 I’d enjoy a blog post by him, too!
Other ideas: Your big dreams for your business … loved the personal dreams you shared a while back and would be terribly interested in learning more about your daring business dreams. Another idea: blogging routine. How you collect your blogging ideas, let them take shape, what tools / programs you use for writing up your articles, your flickr workflow to upload and include pictures etc. This is something I find myself changing up a lot, so I’d be curious to know more about your tried and trusted routines. 🙂

There are so many good suggestions on here – and totally agree with hearing from Paul! He is famous in his own right 🙂
Another suggestion would be about places you want to go travelling. I know you said that you were planning on going away while Paul is deployed. Do you know where you are going already or do you have a wish list? If so why are these places on the list? I know that is always a difficult question to answer. Perhaps you could do before and after posts? What you thought Thailand was going to be like before you went (for example) and then how you actually found it?
    Good luck with choosing 🙂

Where you find your inspiration? ie color choices, projects, words
A day in the life of Paul would be cool, I agree, it’s always interesting to see how the other 1/2 lives.
The set up and storage of your work space.
As someone who is setting up a new home..I love the home decor ideas.
which blogs do you follow regularly?
Good luck with the craft fair.

This has been said already, but I’d love a post about your suggestions for setting up a an Etsy shop. I’m in the process of setting up a shop and I wondered what your thoughts are on if I should have business cards and a “brand” , etc. starting out? Thanks!

    Hi Elise,
I would like to know more about how you went from crafting as a hobby to more than a hobby…the process is something that I think is really interesting. Do you have any advice? I would like to maybe start selling some of my handmade goods but have no idea where to start aside from targetting unsuspecting family members and asking if they would like buy something (but is that cheating?).
And ditto on where you draw your inspiration from. But also, how do you draw the line? There is so much inspiration out there in blogland alone, it’s so overwhelming! I have a tonne of ideas and projects that have been started but not finished because I’m inspired by something else! How do you decide what your time/money priorities are for projects and what’s “you” as opposed to just really interesting.
Sorry, this turned out to be really long — apparently I have more questions than I thought!
Have fun at the craft fair!!

Anniversary plans! And how you deal with any negative responses to your crafting/interests/hobbies. I actually really hope you don’t encounter this but boy, do I get some looks/comments when I pull out my camera. Or tell someone about a DIY detail for my wedding. Just wondering how you stay positive & motivated–if this happens to you, that is! Thanks for asking us to get involved! 🙂

    A 2011 album March update.
Favorite blogs/websites for inspiration & reading.
Your reading list and/or what you’ve thought about recently read books (creative or not).
Any more awesome recipes you and Paul have found.
I love the “around here” photo posts of what your day looks like, too.
How do you decide an idea is just for your versus for your shop/customers? And what got you into the business to begin with? (Or maybe I’ve missed that previously answered…probably.)
HOW ABOUT justs some Q & A posts like Ali Edwards does every so often? Yep, that’s my ding ding ding idea.

I am sure you are SO busy so I appreciate that you want to keep your blog going while you carry on with business. Sorry if these are repeats from above and please don’t be offended if I am suggesting too much. I’d love to see the outfits you are choosing/debating for the craft show. Also, I love the views around the studio, seeing your work in progress, etc. I am in NY and I’m dying for some more signs of Spring… Have any pictures you could share? Are you two planning any vacations in the near future? You could ask us for advice or suggestions and that would save you from future planning headache or posting too, Have you done anything lately on any of your lists, like your birthday list? Does your husband have any lists? Is he as creative, artistic and organized as you? Easter or other spring holiday craft or party ideas, even if they are from the past. I love to hear about what supplies you use from links to where you buy cardstock or chipboard to where to find a little staple gun. Do you have favorite etsy shops? you could share, or share a few of your favorite blogs. I like your style and taste so I am sure I and other readers would be interested to find others like yours. Beauty products you swear by, etc. I love your blog, so whatever you think of will be great, I am sure!
