This project was inspired by a post on Black Eiffel last week. I loved Yolanda Sanchez's beautiful paintings so much and though they looked a bit like finger paintings. (Amazing ones.)

I had a large canvas and I painted it completely yellow. After it dried, I added finger painted swipes in five colors over and over until the canvas was full. Seriously so simple. And it fits perfectly in our guest bathroom that was in serious need of some color.

ohh project 2 is beautiful and i love the styling. Your photography always looks so fresh, like it should be featured in a interiors magazine!
That print would make an amazing fabric print. Think of the clothes you could make from it. I’m thinking a summer tunic in cotton!

    LOVE this idea!
I always look at photos (like the ones you referred us to at Black Eiffel) and think, “BOY, I wish I could do that!”
YOU look at it and think, “Hey, maybe I can do that!”
    And then you do.
Consider yourself inspiration – I think I’m going to try it on a smaller scale this weekend!! Will post a link if I do!!!

LOVE the colors you used. Our bathroom needs some color, too, and this is a wonderful idea. I might just have to give it a try!

You should turn that into a fabric using Spoonflower. It would be amazing.

I saw this project earlier in the week woke up today FRANTIC to find it again. So glad I did, it’s my kinda art and going in my master bath when done. Much more budget friendly for me than fancy pants Yolanda Sanchez (her work is beautiful but expensive for my pockets)..

I love this and what a great idea for your birthday. I turn 27 on 2/28/12 so maybe I should think of a similar idea grin. Home decorating would help as we just moved overseas and I keep looking around at boxes sighing.
